we will pay for quality in a game; and are happy to do so, there are plenty of terrible games out there for people who refuse to pay for good services… classic wont be one of them… I am very happy classic has a subscription, and have already bought 6 months sub in anticipation of classic.

Currently Many Wow Players have moved on for various reasons, the over all Mission is to Bring them Back, By offering Classic Wow for Free, it will Create a Desire within the player to see the world they have been missing, the things they forgot, sometimes just a taste is enough to create the desire for what has yet to be experienced. As Old Players without Subscriptions Return to Classic Wow, they will buy subscription accounts for current Expansion wow, they will buy expansions, and they will once again remember the Joys they have Forgotten, If Classic Wow Remains Subscription only , it will Fade off as player base will be divided. No Old school players will return because we already paid to experience it in 2005 , I see a chance for World of Warcraft To attain Greatness again and to be in the homes of millions of gamers Who will say Blizzard is awesome for Giving this back to us. Let us give some back to them.

It appears that Classic is in the same mode as the Classic Beta. If you have it Installed, you can’t hit Play. If you don’t have it installed, you can’t Install it. Can you get this fixed by Wednesday please?

For everyone complaining about the time, think about Europe. They’re getting the test starting at 8pm CEDT. This is not a repeat of the US launch test. It’s a test for the European provisioning that is going to be far more effective than even 3pm, because so many people can do it after work.

What you’re saying is true but if blizz really wants to maximize the results of the test wouldn’t it be better to do so during a time when more people are commonly free?

When I lived in Germany, many High School aged players were not permitted to play games until their homework was done. That means after 8pm for most. I played WOW as a Systems Engineer for Capital One Bank in 2004. Stood in line at Best Buy to get the upgrade the next Christmas. Original WOW was a game for mature/elderly players. We had an advantage in those days. We were thoughtful. We planned our characters and their skill sets carefully. We did not depend on equipment and levels to compensate for poor understanding of our characters. The children didn’t train their Hunter’s pets. Classic requires you to tame and dismiss pets in order to expand their skill sets. That requires knowing where to find the pets that have the skills you want to teach to your primary pet. There were even special pets that could run faster than any other pet. And pets that were more savage. And pets that were so rare, they were only available to tame within the first hours after a server reset. That isn’t a game that a regular High School student is smart enough to play against a grown adult with a College Degree.

Thanks, Kaivax. I had no issues installing Classic following the instructions provided. What lead to the decision to conduct live monitoring between 9 to 11 AM PDT? The times do not seem convenient for your AMERS user-base.
