I spoke with two GMs, and they both suggested I make a bug report, because they hadn’t seen this before. I will basically post here what I wrote in both of my responses to them and just adjust to make sure I added everything. Hopefully I’ll have a place to add screenshots here as well.
I’ve been playing WoW since beta of Vanilla and since transmog has been a thing, I’ve never seen an issue like this. My character is a lvl 33 Worgen Hunter on a WoW Classic Cata realm (Faerlina). I have been unable to transmog anything but my weapons and cloak since I first tried to do it a few months ago. Since Pandaria Classic pre-launch has started, I’m now seeing another issue where every single piece of wearable gear that can normally be transmogged says “you haven’t collected this appearance” even on gear I’m already wearing. I feel like I definitely would have recognized if this had been an issue before. I’ve toggled pieces off and back on, and it doesn’t matter how many times I do it, I never see the message in chat about the piece being added to my database of transmogs, etc.
So, when I go to the transmog npc, each wearable piece has a red circle and a line through it. When I mouseover any of these slots, I get a hover over message “This item cannot be transmogrified.”
The fact that I have no options to choose any leather armor pieces when in the transmog vendor, and that every single piece of gear (whether I’ve equipped it or not) is saying I don’t have it collected… is just really odd.
So anyway… My futile attempts to try and resolve this are as follows: Yes, I use mods, so first I disabled all of them because I knew that would come up quickly when trying to get assistance. I then restarted the game and launched it without loading any of them… When that didn’t help, I tried the “scan and repair” option on the client. I then uninstalled and reinstalled the game without adding back the mod folder.
This is my first time ever creating a bug report. I was expecting to have a place to add screenshots, but please let me know if there is a way I can add them.
