WoW classic "locate folder" error please help

Before you would click on wow in BNet and then you could select either Retail or Classic.

There has been a BNet update and Wow classic now appears as a separate game.

This wow classic has the option between Classic and Classic:BC. I can open Classic BC but original classic asks me to install the game? When i go to “locate folder” and select the “classic” folder it says its the wrong folder?

Please help. I just want to play vanilla…

If i understand correctly, Vanilla has been updated to TBC and now if I want to play vanilla i have to Re-Download vanilla again? Is there a faster way to do this?

You got to just reinstall, it should only take a minute or two. (The game renamed the classic folder to classic, and classic era is “real” classic, which is an odd way to call it TBC, so I guess in theory you could change the name, but seriously not worth the time and might just break it anyway. The classic folder is only like 200mb anyway)

Classic is not classic anymore … it is now classic_era.
you will have to install some additional files for the new client
