WoW Classic Hotfix -- Raid Party XP Bug

But boy do the Blizzard lapdogs look smart for saying week one kill.

It didn’t exist in classic and was a very obvious exploit so yeah that would be considered cheating

You are completely clueless on this issue. There would not have been that many 60’s in this time span and what is not being addressed is the blatant exploiting of the system once they found out it could be done. IE: These players fully tested and new very quickly that they could get the same xp in 5 man dungeons by raiding with 10 players.

You power level entire raid groups in half the time vs a 5 man team trying to spam dungeons, do the math and apply a little common sense.

Certain guild(s) that did this have full control over the server economy because of this major imbalance this bug created, intentional or not by Blizz, it is factually considered exploiting by Blizz’s own code of conduct and they aren’t doing anything about it.

Yepp, this and the layering exploit that is still not fixed.
You could roughly double the time it took to 60 and more than double for MC layering farms on top.

Lol, there is no way in Hell blizzard didn’t know about this before the “hotfix.”

All good though I don’t care about the neck beards and world firsts, classic is amazing and I’m level 29.

There is no world first, no one cares about who is first in a game 15 years old when the first was already done back in 2005

Didn’t Legion have XP exploiters banned? In a game where you can get max in like less than a day… but when it comes to a game that it is supposed to take a while you do nothing? I just don’t get Blizzard.

Take action against those players Blizzard. You are going to lose a lot of credibility when other XP exploits (legion) get a penalty but not this one. I understand you would piss off a bunch of exploiters but honestly the game would be better without them anyway.

The only thing we can do is be loud and vocal that lack of any action taken is not acceptable. Make your voice heard.

We’re talking a 30 min difference per level, nothing insane, it’s about 11 hours difference from a 10 man vs a 5 man, and many didn’t even 10 man, they did like 6-8.

Apes didn’t even do it til LBRS.

There is a lot of focus on Dungeons being “10 Manned” When you are forgetting that it would also be possible to form a raid of 40 people outdoors in a dense monster area. Take Tyr’s Hand You could have 5 level 60’s here killing elites for 300 exp a pop and 35 level 1’s Just soaking that EXP. Now take a full raid of level 50’s (40 people) Just smashing all of the elites in this area. 300+ exp per kill.

I…don’t know how to feel about this.

When I first heard of the bug this morning, I just kinda shrugged because it doesn’t really effect me at all, so I didn’t see much value in caring.

But…at the same time, people mentioning the XP exploits in BfA or other instances where exploiters have been punished…it does seem consistent to want some sort of reprimand to take place. I don’t know…I mean I’m glad the bug is fixed because that would really ruin the nature of the 5 man dungeons, and honestly I would hate plowing through them with 10 people. At the same time, it does kind of deflate the hype I had in seeing people reach lvl 60 and whatnot, because now there’s that question of “did you get this legit?”

How on earth are you owned compensation?

Jesus Christ.

How on earth are you owned compensation?

Jesus Christ.

Looks like some of the devs got their gold farming bots to level 60 and then turned it off, just to make sure people will buy gold from their sites and they have plenty to supply! xD

Ogres have layers…

CAKE! EVERYBODY LOVES CAKE!

Any exploit punished yet? :policeman:
