WoW Classic Framerate Drop & Slight Flickering While Right/Left Clicking in Fullscreen

I’ve seen another post about this, but I want to keep this topic alive and well because for those of us dealing with it, it can be annoying once you realise what’s going on.

The issue for me is clicking on non-inventory things, that’s when right and left click drops framerate; so looking around with the camera with the right mouse button, left-clicking on a mob, NPC, character, just clicking and making the cursor disappear in general makes this happen. It only happens as you right/left click and your cursor disappears, and when you let go of a click when your cursor reappears. This is not a sustained framerate drop so to really notice it, just click repeatedly with your left or right mouse button out in the world or just ahead of your character while standing or running. Again, this does not happen while clicking on bags, menus, items in your inventory, etc; this is purely just clicking around in the world.

This only happens in Fullscreen and not Windowed Mode. Doesn’t matter what window size while in Windowed Mode, doesn’t happen on any of them.

Currently using Mac Mini M1 2020, 16GB RAM, MacOS Ventura 13.3.1. Connected to LG HDR 4K monitor, 60Hz refresh rate.

WoW version 1.14.3 (49229) (Release arm64).

Currently running recommended settings. Questie 8.1.1 is the only AddOn. Render scale = 3626x2040 while in Fullscreen.
