Title says it all. I’ve been having crashes to desktop for the last 2 weeks, totally at random. There is no error window, nothing. Like an ALT+F4. I’ve tried everything short of formatting my PC, up to and including:
Changing the SSD drive that has wow installed;
Updating to Win11;
Reinstalling multiple times;
Playing with no Addons;
Updated my drivers;
Used windows file checker;
And I’m out of ideas at this point. I’ve scoured this forum, but I may have missed a situation like mine (or there was no fix for it on the thread).
here’s the DxDiag pastebin: https://pastebin.com/ugcqSezH
Thanks in advance for anyone that can untangle this mess
After removing the drivers a couple of times with DDU, I finally realized that my drivers were actually the newest ones:
Installed: 31.0.15.4633
On Nvidia website: 546.33 WHQL
The dot is moved, but the version is the same. There was even a post on the geforce forums: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/forums/game-ready-drivers/13/534904/54633-wont-replace-the-old-driver/ so I felt less dumb about it.
So yeah, it is not the video drivers. It just crashed again, here’s the most recent DxDiag:
I did full UI resets, removed CurseForge, all the folders, everything. I just did a fresh uninstall and reinstall, still it crashed after a minute or two (just the time to find a copper vein and mine it).
I uninstalled everything from GigaByte, RunUpd is not running anymore.
It crashes to Desktop only, no turning off. Everything else stays the same, it literally feels like an alt+f4.
Here’s the pastebin again, if it helps.

Once again, thanks for the help! Hopefully we can resolve this, it really feels bad to be unable to play at all
Let’s set some power settings - if you go to Control Panel > Power Options - set that to High Performance. Then open the Nvidia Control Panel. Look under “Manage 3D Settings”. Half way down the list is “Power Management Mode” - set that to “Prefer Maximum Performance”.
I wondering if this isn’t a power supply going ‘South’.
Do you have the latest razer synapse software? Do you have studio installed if so try uninstalling it. How old is you trinity mouse. do you have a spare mouse to test with?
I’ve been playing for over 3 hours with no crashes, turns out this was the fix:

Razer Synapse was out of date, causing the errors. I’ve deleted the app, everything from Razer and Installed Synapse again, now it is working flawlessly!
Special thank you to Tratt, for combing over the pastebin reports and keeping the thread alive.
