This may very well be the root and true fix to this bug. The command thing is great but the issue is if you want to switch back you have to now use a different command to switch back. Disabling the overlay however returns normal functionality.

Thanks for pointing out the Discord overlay issue Soralow, much better for me; running two instances of WoW and wanting one windowed and the other not.

I would suggest posting in the tech support forum

One of my friends mentioned if you use discord and the discord overlay is enabled you might have trouble swapping to windowed mode. I tried it and sure enough it worked after disabling the discord overlay. :slight_smile:
So you might give that a shot too if you’re having an issue with this.

This is what worked for me. It’s also the easiest to check – I’d try this first.
