If you can some how hook up your n64 to the internet and play with millions online sure.
/facepalm.
Current Super Smash brosā¦
Iām talking about Classic.
Getting Classic requires no box cost, as Retail WoW has no box cost. The battlechest was removed in July, and since then, all one needs to play is the sub. Whether you want to play BFA, thatās on you.
Is not called super smash bros.
" Massively multiplayer online game. ā¦ A massively multiplayer online game (MMOG, or more commonly, MMO ) is an online game with large numbers of players, typically from hundreds to thousands, on the same server. MMOs usually feature a huge, persistent open world, although some games differ."
Same server is a big key there.
And the multiple instances on the same server for diablo 3 and over watch are different how?
At this point you are trolling.
I am out.
Diablo and Overwatch are Online Multiplayer not Massive Multiplayer Online.
With Diablo and Overwatch your āgameā a small group of people playing a single game together.
WoW is thousands of people connected to a single game world at 1 time.
Yeah I agree with you. That was my point. Thereās a big difference.
It boils down to a philosophical issue on your end. You seem to think Blizzard is targeting people who arenāt willing to pay a sub fee, they arenāt. This mentality that you arenāt going to support Blizzard / current wow with a sub fee is entirely on your end and not something they are going to consider in their plan. They arenāt looking to reach you.
Those people are going to keep playing private servers with no cost aspect until they get shut down or the lastest dev explosion wipes your progress, and then start over again on the latest one.
Blizzard is targeting people who are currently subscribed who want to play/try out classic, and people who arenāt currently subscribed who want to play classic and willing to subscribe. Obviously theyād like to see people not playing current wow try BFA out, but if they donāt want to then oh well they will play classic and gladly pay the regular subscription cost that wow has always had.
If you donāt fall into that category then the private servers are there for you. This dislike for a subscription strikes me as someone who hasnāt actively subscribed to wow and just played private.
With that logic wow ceases to be an mmo any time some one going into a dungeon, raid, battleground or arena.
Its still not a thousand people at the same time.. Thanks to CRZ, each zone puts everyone into their own box with a limited amount of people to reduce the number of cross-interactions making it basically a mini multiplayer games for each group of people. Now tell me how this is different than overwatch, for example.
Never touched private servers never plan on doing so.
well they are the only way to get what you are asking for.
When you do those things, did you at any point leave the game world? No?
To play Diablo 3 with people you must join a game world that only has room for a small party. When you all leave that world the world that world disappears. When you go to a dungeon in wow, the over world doesnāt disappear.
I think most peoples concerns are why are we paying for a static game, sure there will be content releases but that content is finished.
I think people just want to know why they are spending monthly for this. is it to support the CMs? is it to support future classic expansion? I think people just want clarity for why they are spending 15 dollars a month.
Really? Must have missed the part were private servers are blizzard backed servers that offer the game at a one time cost with no subscription fee.
you want to not pay anything, like I said pservers are what you want, Blizzard is not going to give you that.
No I want to not pay monthly fees, I fully want to give money to blizzard for access to the classic blizzard backed servers for a one time cost.
MMO generally refers to hundreds to thousands of players being able to be together in the same persistent game world. Sharding and CRZ doesnāt actually remove that.
In Overwatch, you canāt have more than 12 people in the same game world. In Diablo 3, thatās limited to 4 if I remember right.
