No, I literally checked and did not have any beta in my menus at all. Just retail, PTR and ‘classic’ which wouldn’t let me play. Sorry if the reality of blizz not being perfect doesn’t conform to your fanboy delusions.

Since most of the good names were taken by those lucky to win the login server lottery I was waiting to see if beta might be restored, but there goes a reason to give blizzard extra sub money.
So five thousand players only playing for 6 months = $450,000 in subscription payments. Blizz doesn’t have to give that money back when they leave, so that much is permanent.
“closed beta” you mean free marketing by using streamers.

some of us have weekend plans… and the stress test notice came out what… last tuesday/wednesday? by then i had weekend plans

Shroud summit and tim def dont have demos that majority play wow. Asmongolds stream was consistently at the top of twitch. Which got peoples eyes on it. So yeah. Genius marketing. Like it or not blizzard is smarter than you and their marketing team def knows how to reach their demographic better than any one else
How do you know what they would have done for a “real” stress test…
Maybe they just wanted people to have some more fun playing classic?
Maybe they wanted to test less stressful times.
Maybe they wanted to punish people like you for having weekend plans.
Maybe Blizzard should have looked at all of our calendars to see if we made weekend plans beforehand.
Maybe we should stop whining about a beta test that doesn’t involve some people.

How about testing endgame content?
How about the fact more testers are needed, NOT yet more streamer exposure which isn’t going to raise hype any more this close to release?
