Any update, Blizzard? Would really like to transfer a character to play with friends in TBC. Don’t understand why we can’t get an update - you’re going to get money from us regardless.

Relax guys, it has been less than 2 weeks since they closed them, they will likely come back up on or just before the 18th.
So they’re snapshotting the characters next Tuesday without unlocking xfers? Does this mean people will be snapshotted on the wrong servers?

The problem is that they announced this BEFORE they announced the release date for TBC classic. Having the knowledge of the latter would greatly impact the decision to transfer or not before hand

So will we have any choice in where we’re going if we decide to go bc, or will we just be put on the bc version of the server we are on now? The horde population on my server is almost nonexistent.

Do we have any idea when this will be opened up again? I really want to move my main character to a new server for pre-patch/TBC launch.

We expect character transfers to be closed for multiple weeks, and we will let you know as soon as we can determine this process is nearly complete
I am a little worried that Blizzard still has not mentioned anything about this, they said they would give us a notification when it was “nearly” complete, well it is the day of pre-patch and still no word

They already said it will br shortly after prepatch.
Once the pre-patch goes live, and the “Choose your path” options are up, they’ll be able to reopen the character transfer.
Still nothing…
So I paid to have my toon transferred today and it’s just in limbo. What’s the normal time for this?

Anyone know if … will Blizzard create new servers for the classic? There were only 7 players on my server today, I hope blizzard will make free transfers for Wow classic players.
Any updates on when the paid transfers will be enabled again? OCE Classic ERA is dead, and US East and West seem to be doing alright. So I want to transfer off OCE to US please!
Transfers between US servers appear to be open again. Can someone please confirm this?
Trying to transfer away from OCE results in an error message though. You seeing the same error Hrony?

Just tried to transfer and got (I think) an error message. Just looked like a glitch. Then I was back to the transfer screen. Seems that anyone wanting/needing to transfer is not going to have the prepatch they expected.
