The new player restriction is really bad, people can’t trade with the friends who suggested they try out the game (and now feel foolish and bad for their friends). People can’t trade water/food to party members. New players are completely locked out of a huge portion of the social game play in a fresh server of an MMO for ~30 days! Insane restriction especially for a fresh server! This is a horrible way to treat new and returning players!

Once again i am asking for a rp server
Can we please get confirmation that we will be able to copy/transfer our 20th anniversary classic characters to permanent classic era servers after last phase ? Also can we get confirmation if the TBC servers will have permanent era versions or just progress to cata and beyond all over again ? If they don’t make era servers I don’t want to play on them and lose all my progress again , thanks !

Instead of dual spec, how about your spec be based on activity. Those being:
- World
- Dungeons
- Raids
- Battlegrounds
If you want to change it, you pay the normal price. This would keep the Classic feel where your choice matters but you are not pigeonholed into doing one activity at a time until you get the gold to respec. This would also keep people from abusing dual/multi spec swapping in pve/pvp content.
Some classes have multiple specs that can be used in those for different reasons.
Hence dual spec.
Warriors being a perfect example of a class that has multiple roles they can do in instances.
My only question is once they progress to say, bc classic and wrath classic. Will we receive permanent versions of those classic experiences? If not then it’s already a let down.
Hopefully we can get permanent bc era and permanent wrath era realms. That is really all I want and what I wanted from the beginning. As well as other stuff not being present. A dungeon finder. Wow tokens. Hopefully you guys get it right this time.

Man and wrath classic era servers to. I want permanent wrath era servers so badly. But I have extreme doubts.
Kind of bummed actually that they mentioned anniversary bc classic but not anniversary wrath classic. I do hope it is a thing though. I want permanent versions of both these eras of the game.

Please allow those on existing low pop servers to transfer to higher population servers so we can continue to play the version of the game we prefer. Or at the very least allow Deviate Delight to join one of the battlegroups with Whitemane cluster.
So what is the future looking like for this? Will it progress past TBC? Will there be an option to remain on Classic Anniversary? By TBC it will just be TBC, and if you keep progressing then players will desire another fresh.
I love the changes made (group finder, dual spec) and would prefer to remain in Classic. I want a game mode that I can play at without having my progress wiped away (expansion) and with the quality of life changes that saves wasted time (group finder).
Edit: I also went to the anniversary HC realm and killed my character. I saw no options to move them to a normal realm. I assumed they could only be moved to an anniversary realm. Am I incorrect in this presumption?

You are being narrow minded. Some people have hellishly lucky rolls consistently. I was able to farm a lot in 2022 and was able to slowly build wow wealth. My rolls are always crappy. GDKP actually allowed me to gear up over 2 months of raiding. Where as losing all the time to random pugs was super crappy. Since blizzard took away gdkp, they should provide us with a comparable system for loot that it not subject to a /random 100 roll.
It isn’t improved. It was entirely gutted and “ranking” is just a linear grind now. Destroyed WSG/AB queues on Era too cause there’s no decay so there’s never any reason anyone “ranking” has to play WSG/AB. They can just semi-afk in AV for a few weeks on and off and get free R14.
The original system had it’s problems but it also had unique stuff you could find no where else on WoW. Blizzard likes to claim they want people to play together and don’t want to nerf reasons for people to play together (their reasoning for hesitating to ban GDKP) but at the same time will completely gut the biggest social aspect vanilla has to offer and replace it with some soulless grind that feels like I’m just farming rep.

You can do DKP raiding which is what GDKPs are based off.

So under the assumption that the Anniversary realm is classified as a “classic server” I bought the Reven Pack on the store. Well it seems even though its tagged as Classic and Advertised as Classic that its not nothing was delivered.
GDKP is absolutely horrible for the game and is completely toxic. It has absolutely NO place in the game. It wasn’t in 2004, and it shouldn’t be in 2024. The amount of gold you can spend on an item shouldn’t determine if you get gear or not.
GDKP encourages people to BUY gold from said gold sellers you want Blizzard to find a solution for. Make it make sense that you’re all for GDKP?
Then Blizzard puts restrictions on new accounts, and people have issues with that. How exactly do you want Blizzard to fix a player made issue here?
All these are only for progressive Classic (right now Cata Classic) not for Era or Anniversary servers.
I think dual spec can be good as long as we have an unchanged version to go back to and IF WE ARE implenting dual spec it needs to have limitations like only being able to change to your other spec in an inn and possibly a cooldown keeping players from abusing it based on their current situation in raids, PvP, and throughout the world, thus giving your decisions weight. It’s also important that if we (hoping very much so) get a forever Era TBC, that it is released unchanged as well as a possible forever Wrath Era server. The player base loves the first three versions of the game and I think it’s important to keep them as close to original as possible like a time capsule. Thank you for taking the time to read.

I dont know if this has been asked yet but will transfers from classic servers to the anniversary ones eventually be available? I understand why its not allowed at this time since content is time gated and the majority of players in classic servers have already tackled most of the end game content but I dont see this much mattering once the TBC gates open up, so will transfer be available then?
