You still haven’t given me one good reason. I don’t care if it’s been discussed before i’m asking you, since you’re here now talking about it. All you’re saying is “it affects the game and has been discussed” over and over.

Anyways, Era still exists if you want to indulge in non-dual spec. Easy to get geared raids. Cya when you can understand what’s going on and it just doesn’t go in one ear and out the other.

Any chance we get a server starting as TBC Prepatch, but progressing through Vanilla. This would balance classes, as TBC classes are way more balanced than Vanilla’s. Plus it be sick progressing through Vanilla content as a blood elf/draenai…

It has been discussed over and over in this thread my guy. I gave you exemplary reasons and ways in which it affects the game. Like it should be obvious to anyone who has played this game before how this decision is likely to affect whether and how you engage with your guild tank, just as an example, outside of raid. What is that relationship like if we have dual spec? Very different! This permeates numerous areas of the game. I think the set of likely impacts are fairly well defined, at least to the point that someone should be capable of understanding that the magnitude of the shift is meaningful; beyond that I don’t think people have time to write dissertations about this.
Honestly we have people arguing in this thread that dual spec just doesn’t affect the gameplay experience. It comes off as clearly uninformed or disingenuous.

Okay here me out… can you make it so that way we can have a “new character” model button? I remember when you guys first updated to the new character models there was an option to have the old or new… is there any way to do that with these servers?
Yeah god forbid the tank or healer can swap to a pvp spec after raid without dumping 50g lol

I really havent seen a solid reason as to why dual spec is bad, besides gearing issues which can be easily solved. Just some people are ignorant to methods on fixing it.

PLEASE for the sake of this game! PLEASE once Dual Spec is added if it ends up being added, please make it to where people can’t switch specs during / in the middle of a raid. That will make progression TOO easy which will then in turn make it to where content is being cleared too fast and people will just “raid log”

A couple additional things I’d like devs to think about or I’d like to get discussion on here.
- Can we clarify what will happen at the end of the vanilla wow progression. Will players get the opportunity to offload to an era server as a clone or will they be forced to progress? I think having the option to take a snapshot of their character and migrate to a normal era server appealing in addition to progressing to TBC.
- Instead of just having one server of each of the types, can we instead have a few servers set up initially for a first few weeks that have a guaranteed destination merger realm after the population dies down? I’m worried that queues are going to be awful the first couple weeks and this gives a huge advantage to those that can get in early and progress early. For example have Illidan A, Illidan B, and Illidan C. At the end of the high pop timing based on historical data I’m sure you guys have (be that 2 weeks or 2 months) , merge all these servers into a single Illidan server.
- Buffing durations - no one wants to be a buff bot (I’m sure there are a handful of folks that enjoy this) but most don’t. Also things like taking charges off rogue poisons, stacking some items a little more like healing potions etc. Just small things that don’t affect gameplay mechanics but take out the mundane tasks.
I like dual spec, but it makes it miserable to raid when you have to constantly switch back and forth depending on the boss. If there was a way to make it only changeable for PVP that would be awesome.

We have waited five years for a fresh classic server. Classic 2019 was a HUGE success. Players do not actually know what they want - It has been proven time and time again, that giving the vocal players what they want has been detrimental to Classic WoW. Please, just give us a regular fresh server…#nochanges

I like this idea! PLEASE just don’t make any changes, open up a few different servers so that way there isn’t a substantial queue time!
