WoW Classic 20th Anniversary Realms Information -- Updated Nov. 18

This is a valid concern with the debuff limit removal.

This was some quick caving…ngl a little worried we are going to see pally taunts and other stuff.

Will you be increasing health to compensate for the increased dps this will cause??

#somechanges! amazing quality of life features

Obviously that won’t be in vanilla, dual spec and debuff limit don’t change anything about the classes, it’s just quality of life.

So it’s technically a pre-retail version. They’ll probably introduce flying mounts, summoning stones and lfr ‘in the near future’.

We have SoD 2.0 again

Well, private servers will continue to gain membership… de buff limit removal breaks classic raids.

They aren’t adding flying mounts, you are just saying things just to say something. The Azeroth map in classic literally would need to be entirely rebuilt to have flying mounts.

I will be playing on Fresh Anniversary after seeing this post. I’m also positive about this change. Thank you Blizzard for doing this - here’s why.

GDKPs ruined my guild in TBC Classic, after core raiders in my guild largely disappeared, only to mention in guild chat that they were getting “insane gold” from their GDKP pugs. Without question, it eroded what was healthy, active guild. Our active raiding schedule pretty much stopped when anyone could just join a GDKP pug whenever they wanted and get their gear and more gold to boot. I’ll never forget how it split the guild between the GDKPers with their “insane gold” and gear - and the rest of us.

Buying gold to buy consumes, gear, etc. would still exist of course. But waiting for the perfect solution to solve every single kind of RMT is not an excuse to do nothing.

Banning GDKPs does something - it is one less way to cheat in the game - which is worthwhile to me. This encourages guild members to stick around, invest in the life of the guild and keep their guild healthy - and the sprit of the game.

Please just stop changing the classic feel before we get to world quests and guiding turtles to the water. If you can stop at dual spec and debuff limits, I guess it is still sort of classic adjacent.

Nice changes. Now we need taunt for prot pallies and crusader strike for Ret

Might as well toss in blood elves so I can make my TBC horde pally.

Okay give TBC Era servers now since you’re in the giving mood

I feel like a lot of these vanilla purist andys that keep saying “oh no its retail now” haven’t played retail at all if they think these changes are turning it into retail.

If you aren’t foaming at the mouth for Dual Spec, you never played a healer or a tank. It’s absolutely miserable trying to make gold when your spec is built around helping other people. I like not being miserable.

This is 100% just your opinion. You wanted the geared members of your guild to carry you instead of them playing in a way that they enjoyed / kept them logging in every week. Selfish on your part really.

I love how these new changes help the community and player base.

Speaking of community:

We would love our RPPVP community to have a home, where the Rule Set is in favor of our Role Play Communities. There is something that sets RPPVP apart and we would love to have Grobbulus again. Great memories, great WPVP, great RP Events.

Bring the QoL changes to Era! None of them are game breaking and there is a large silent group that would like to see them. The Stormwind buff was great. Don’t be fooled by the “no changes” crowd, they are living with Chronoboons and are using them too.

I played classic, I was always farming gold for the 50g respec cost, but that was part of the game and encouraged people to play more, level alts for things. It made talent choices something you thought about.
