Why can Hardcore characters only transfer to a Normal realm? Why can we not have the choice to transfer our Hardcore character to a Normal realm or a PvP realm. I know myself and some others would LOVE to level up a character on a Hardcore realm to make leveling up said character more fun and challenging then have the option to transfer that character to a PvP realm.
Please reconsider only transferring Hardcore characters to a Normal realm.

For the same reason Normal players cannot transfer toons to PvP servers. Hardcore servers are not regular PvP servers and therefore the grind is different.

Did they say anything about a character copy like they previously did? I dont really want to progress to tbc.
TBC is all about whatever you think is fun.
And if your numbers hold true, there’s more than enought to fill Retail, Classic Era & HC, TBC Era & HC, Wrath Era & HC and whatever current seasonal or Classic-retail (like Pandaria vesion 2).
Too many realms is solved by merging, clustering or suchlikes, not by limiting people’s freedom of choice - which only leads to people usubbing.
The realm structure in Era with one PvE, one populated PvP (why not cluster them all?), one PpV-RP, one PvE-RP and 2 HC servers for each region (and for EU some abused and maltreated other language ones) should be copied in every iteration, not those mega-giga-layered mpnstrosities.

i believe this system was first implemented in TBC at some point, it felt like i could use it to great effect myself, i’ll be happy finding groups via this tool tbh

please let us know if tbc will become an era. just please. im already not gonna play this new fresh bs bc i cant be a belf so im starting over in tbc from lvl 1 anyway. such a huge miss. for the love the sunwell stoooooooop forcing us vanilla please im sick of it.

I’m mostly happy about this, I’m not so sure about the limited realms. That just means tons of layering, right? I would love to have some smaller, 1-layer servers (at least one for RP-PVE maybe?). I understand most people will want to just zug zug, biggest server, go go go. But there is a significant population, from which many have been keeping era alive this whole time, that would prefer a smaller and more tight-knit community and a cohesive world experience. There’s always a place for a Bloodsail type realm

Can we please have some clarification if debuff/buff limits will be removed on Fresh Era as well or only hardcore?

Please allow transfers from hardcore to pvp server! I was so excited to try hardcore again but, there is no way I’m going to pass on fresh pvp and I’m positive I’m not the only one that feels this way.
