Hardcore isn’t big, it’s for a very tiny community. The reason hardcore is even being released at the same time is because it incentivizes people to start there to try it out then when they inevitably die they’ll just transfer the character to the fresh start realm and carry on.
I see you’re not very bright. Who dictates how the “game is meant to be played?” Is it not up to the community to decide? Oh, I see. You want everything decided for you, maybe you should try retail?
Nobody is telling you how to play the game. Yet you feel the need to tell others how to play? Enjoy your dead game, just like SoD.
If GDKPs where used and ran in the Traditional manor then it would be fine. But they are not. Todays GDKP the leaders take a 20-25% cut 5% tank cut (plus other % cuts and its around 35% off the top) leaving the raid with 65% of the pot split between everyone (including the RL and tanks who already got a higher cut)
the traditional GDKP 100% of the pot was split between the raid NO cuts wherever in the mix.
Retail exists, go spend your dollars on boosts there.
The game is a MMORPG and is based off playing in a group setting with a guild that is how the game was designed originally. That is the basis of a MMO
I understood 1 realm, period - that is worldwide. I hope I’m wrong here.
me to i hope theyre region locked!!! 4 diffetent regions all region locked!!! This would keep the bots and RMT out of the NA servers
Nothing will keep that away… sadly
Yes, makes sense, but not progressing HC servers to TBC makes even less sense then.
I’ve played since 2004. MMO refers to a “massive multiplayer online game,” and you are quite ignorant to imply that GDKP’s are massively different from a guild environment. Most GDKP’s are a guild, with rotating rosters, based no who is available. Additionally, host cuts are 10-15%, not the 20-25 you are claiming, and tank bonuses are typically 1-3%, not 5%.
All of this is irrelevant. GDKPs are community driven and MMO’s can evolve based on community desires. You are simply telling a large portion of your playerbase that their playstyle is not welcome, and mandating it. And you are too ignorant to see how your actions will impact your game.
No they didnt
GDKPs are banned get over it dont like it dont play its that simple!!!
He’s mad because he won’t be able to sell as much Gold. Consumes gold demand won’t be high enough for him. What I’d like to see is consumes/raw materials to be easily collectable by everyone, harming the RMT demand for gold even more. Then those losers can finally go focus on ruining other games.
GDKPs aside this is a complete trash attitude to have. If people don’t like something about a game they’d otherwise be interested in they should speak up and not just eat . This way Blizzard will hopefully make better decisions on what to do with their very limited multi-dollar budget.
Please add dual spec! Its such a big improvement for healer mains to have options to do things outside of group content.
Nice strawman. I see you’re a bottom-feeder who is too incompetent to make a logical argument. Quite cringe to assume everyone who partakes in GDKPs are gold-buying or gold-selling. Enjoy your subpar, trash guild that disbands because it can’t fill a 40-man roster. Enjoy backfilling the bis-players who quit, or the tank who takes Thunderfury bindings and leaves to a “more competitive environment”. Scum.
Arguing in bad faith like the gold seller you are.
Ok but…why does it involve gold?
why can’t it be “let’s raid together and get it done”. Simple.
Ya it’s amazing GDKP ban was demanded by the community and had minimal if any affect on SOD population. We were near the end of Phase 1 when they implemented it and Phase 2 started a bit over a week later.
Then these people that like to swipe or are part of the GDKP scene aka getting the gold from the swipers… tried to claim the population drop was due to GDKP. While people actually playing the game saw people leaving for one simple reason… they despised Gnomer as a raid.
Then we when we got into Phase 3 and people reacted the same way to ST after a few weeks. We lost between Phase 2 and Phase 3 over 300 active raiders and the singular feedback from all was they hated the raid. That was my original guild when this Druid was my main.
In the coalition of guilds (was over 100 raiding guilds) no one was losing raiders due to GDKP.
They never brought it back in SOD and they obviously based on feedback intend to continue with it. Which pretty much says it all.
Hopefully they give us 20th Anniversary forums and since GDKP will be against the TOS then posting about it should be too… sick of hearing about it. Send feedback if you want to campaign about it… they don’t read the forums.
Agreed, and the worst part is the only thing approaching irresistible (edit for me personally) would be TBC again, but I cannot imagine ALTing in TBC classic without at least some T5 and T6 GDKPs available. Its gonna constrict the pug scene badly. Hopefully the “we will reassess at a future date bit” refers to if they make TBC Era afterwards, and then lifting the rule there.
