People have been playing their classes for ages now. But no matter how much the Development Team attempts to make changes to the classes trying to keep the game balanced.
At times the classes have been changed to a point that the player feels disappointed in the end result. And at times outright unhappy that their favorite class has had it’s abilities, talents, and spells. Changed in a way that their class has been negatively impacted.
So, If you could have your wishes granted. How would you make changes to a class that would result in the class being improved In a way that would result in enhanced game-play and quality of life improvements.
Played Warrior and Druid for a long time, I still want Charge stun back for Warrior and Faerie Fire for Druid.
I would immediately grant myself the power to put a REALLY BIG SILENCE SPELL on the WoW forums, streamers, basically ANYBODY who isn’t a game developer because heavens forbid if these so-called ideas come into fruition.
And that’s it. I would also suffer from recoil.
I would like Marksmanship hunter utility and survivability to be completely decoupled from pets, and lone wolf to become baseline and only ever 10% damage increase without a pet (without the 20 second ramp up time, the second you dismiss a pet you should get the 10% damage). I don’t want to bring out a pet to lust, or for any other reason ever, I want a standalone lust button like shamans get. I also want the 10% base leech that the lust pet gives you access to without summoning the pet.
Wind arrows should not do durability damage to the hunter weapon and neither should rapid fire additional arrows. Durability damage is dropping on MM weapons way too quickly because of this.
Misdirection (and tricks of the trade for rogues) should auto-target the tank in mythic+ with unlimited range, or at least auto-target some tank spec. We know this technology exists thanks to augmentation evoker. No more weak aura or focus/party1 macro required.
I also think multi-shot should cost 10 focus less baseline.
These are minor changes but I think they could make the spec more enjoyable and convenient while leveling and playing the PvE endgame.
I would turn Siphon Life into a passive that buffs Drain Soul to how it used to be in Legion, healing you for a % and buffed damage.
I would turn Haunt into a passive that buffs Unstable Affliction somehow.

2H tanking for Prot, with a shield of light for abilities that require shields.
I’ve a few things I’d change that would at least make some classes more fun for me:
ROGUE
- Slice and Dice is a passive that proc’s off Finishing Moves.
WARRIOR
- Mortal Strike, Revenge, or Bloodthirst (depending on your spec) replace Slam for Warriors.
SHAMAN
- Delete Primal Strike… Seriously. It’s useless. Better off just spamming Lightning Bolt until you unlock Specs.
- Windfury Totem duration increased to 30mins and it’s range is increased to 100yrds.
- For Enhancement, replace Primordial Wave with a redesigned Rockbiter that enhances 2-handed weapons so players can choose 2-handers or dual-wielding
- For Restoration, replace Primordial Wave with Chain Harvest. Chain Harvest replaces Chain Heal.
DEATH KNIGHT
For Unholy:
- Festering Wound no longer stacks and is a Shadow DOT.
- Festering Strike reduced to 1 Rune.
- Scourge Strike deals increased damage for each disease you have on the target and increased to 2 Runes.
- Improved Festering Strike doesn’t increase its damage and instead applies Frost Fever and Blood Plague at 80% effectiveness.
- Superstrain buffs the damage of all diseases by 20%.
PRIEST
Shadow:
HUNTER
Survival
- Remove the 2-handed weapon requirement so players can choose 2-handers or dual-wielding
- If we want to get really crazy, have Survival and Beast Master swap roles. BM is now melee and we go back to pre-Legion Survival.
I have only one spell I would love to see put back in the game for warlocks and that is
harvest life. It’s a siphon life that hits multiple targets. I just loved that spell.

Not really abilities per say, but class mechanics, I wish for paladins to step away from holy power (combo points) and be introduced a more unique system that don’t make them feel like rogues.
Removing death grip from the GCD.
We had tons of expansions with death grip off the gcd and it played way better.
When they added gcd to movement abilities they removed it back from most of them, but death grip kept it.
