Just as the title says, I’ve run into a recent problem rather randomly. Whenever I load into WoW, change servers, or even go through loading screens in the game itself, the mouse will blip, turn into the blue loading wheel, my start bar will blip into the game and then vanish and everything finishes loading like no big deal.
I’ve tried running a scan / repair, I’ve restarted everything more than once, did a defrag, everything I can think of short of uninstalling and reinstalling. Any advice / help? Could use it. It’s caused WoW to force close on me twice in one evening.
Sorry this isn’t any advice or help, but many of us are having the same issue you described above for almost a month and I have been posting in this thread below but we haven’t gotten an answer from a blue who posted in the thread for nearly two weeks.
Glad it’s not only me. As bad as that sounds. Thank you for the information though. Last night I went through a complete overhaul of my entire UI, and it solved nothing, so I’ve spent all morning reconfiguring my UI. So, safe to say, I’m with ya. Very frustrating.
That is the worst… so much work for nothing.
You have my condolences.
Yes I even made a post quoting the blue’s post hoping that with how the new forum format works, they would get some sort of notification & would come back and give us an update, but… nope.
Over the last few weeks I’ve been getting this along with a lot of lag when I switch servers where my toons don’t show up for awhile. When the lag and long loading happens I see my game show “not responding” in task manager. Since yesterday I’ve started clearing the game’s cache folders which temporarily fixes the lag switching servers but after a couple hours it starts all over again.
I sure hope Blizzard pays attention to these new forums and gets this fixed. I’m running the same addons and UI I’ve used for the better part of 3 years and never had this much trouble before. I can’t remember the game having so many issues turn up at the beginning of an expansion before, and go this long not fixed. We’re 3 months in already.
