Wow Beta and Stress Test: Not Fair

I’m not sure how this is fair. The only players that can play right now are the ones that already have the beta. So they are just messing around until they can play the beta again taking up all the room for players that can only play the stress test. Asmongold has like 500 players just following him around at level 2 not even doing anything.

Its supposed to be “unfair” not “fun fair”.

This belongs in the Classic forum, first of all.

Secondly, I fail to see how any of this is unfair. I think some people need to take a look at their maturity level.

you should thank us then. We are seeing that blizzard’s server structure isn’t anywhere near capable of handling the numbers that will be required and will need to be upgraded…
Or would you rather this happen on aug 27th with no prep when many magnitudes more people will be hammering the server for days instead of hours?

Blizzard has stress test. No one but streamers get in. Everyone else who got an invite just wasted a couple of hours of their lives stress testing a load screen boss. The forums and apparently the live game also suffer due to the test.

Seems like it created a lot of stress. gg Blizz.

It’s a stress test. If people are unable to get on, that’s information they want. That’s the whole point of a stress test. You don’t even have regular beta access, so i don’t see the point of complaining.

Oh it’s going to happen on the 27th as well, don’t kid yourself lol. This is going to be 2004 all over again with constant crashes, 12+ hour maintenances, and lag that the retail game hasn’t experienced in years. It’s going to be glorious!

Oh yes it’s going to happen. Happens in almost every MMO. My point being without any test at all they would be just throwing an expected number out there with no practical basis and that would be even worse than it will be.

Very true. This testing is in hopes they might mitigate some of the issues they know are bound to happen.

Well. You can’t really do much in stress test. The level 5 limit is to keep everyone in starting area. A level 10 mobs would have 1 shot you.

Stop exaggerating. 99.9 percent of us lagging in goldshire right now at level 5 are NOT streamers. Not sure why you guys let the 13 or so neckbearded streamers dominate your conscious so much… Theres like 5 thousand of us regular folk on the server and another 10k stuck on the login screen, yet “only streamers got in”…

it was spot on. this stress test created great stress, so it must have been a success.
