What I find most are vendors of carry 1.8, 2.1, 2.4, etc … and blizzard does nothing. You open the finder and it is the first thing you find. I have ready some pages that I found now. wowcarry

with multiple characters, and the worst thing is that the report and appear with another alt do not stop.
What will blizzard do to stop this?
Make it easier to gear alts so people aren’t incentivized to buy carries in the first place.
Make it so M+ is viable for gearing PVE so pve-primary-players can gear doing content they enjoy instead of just relying on random RNG raid drops, and make it so gear doesn’t matter in pvp. Easy fix.
I’ve literally seen a tenth of boosters this season. It’s great right now, I’m not sure what you’re talking about. I think what you are seeing more of is a lack of pve players. Lack of pve players means you are more often matched against enemys with pvp skill this season than last season. This also means everybodys average rating will be lower this season. While it was def some hard work just hitting 1800 this season, the ammount of actual boosters were way less. I’d rather fight more skilled opponents with less gear, than less skilled opponents with more gear. With this version, you are forced to get better at the game to achieve the same rating as last season.
I’m cool with the way things are atm when it comes to boosting. Sure just as many adds are on LFG as last season, but there isn’t a bunch of overgeared pve heros gatekeeping every other game anymore. Just your average match is going to be against multi-season players instead of “pve players just trying to get an edge”. Rating feels much more earned than last seasons fiesta of 1400 players playing at 1600 with 2100 gear still performing as a 1400 player.
You have two options:
-
Make PVP gearing not stupid.
-
Chad R1’s start investing all of their time towards giving free carries, instead of doing it for gold/RMT.
Since the latter seems far-fetched, I’m going with making PVP gearing not stupid.
What are you even talking about?
-
Half the posts in lfg are carriers advertising

Your not facing skilled players with less gear. You are facing more skilled players with more gear when you run into carries. Any player who runs into a carry is at a disadvantage in skill, which is personal responsibility, and even more so in gear, which is unfair to a unskilled player trying to learn.
I guess you missed the part where I said I haven’t really ran into much boosters. Twice in the last 700 games I’ve played my teammate said: That was a streamer! or That was a rank 1 guy! There could have been more but I don’t really pay attention to those big names personally.
And yes, when you remove the thousands of pve players that were queing last season, you’re chances of fighting against someone who is a pvp-regular is way higher. When a large ammount of pve players were buying 2100 gear last season to get a edge in pve, they would drop down in rating over time (because they suck, pve players), they would be anywhere between 1200 and 1800 with 2100 gear. So yea, last season you ran into a lot of sh!tty players who just had massive gear for their bracket. Therefore matches were hit and miss. Sometimes you just lost to gear, sometimes you smacked the other geared team into oblivion because they were pve players, many many games were boosts. This season the games are much more on average because most games are pvp-regulars now and not hit-and-miss situations where 1400(skilled) players are in 1800(because of boosts), and 2400(skilled) players playing at 1400(to boost).
The only thing similar between the two situations is there are just as many ads, which probably just means they are getting desperate because they have way less market this season. Blizz even forgot to add in the “tuesday reset, gotta earn the rating for the week” system and boosts still have gone down dramatically (in my experience this season, could be just a fluke that I dodged the boosters this season by accident, but I doubt it, 700 games below 2k I believe I would have ran into them sometime) Even IF I did run into them, its early season, and everybody is still climbing out the starting hole.
The reason I said less geared players with more skill, is because your average pvper who has any moral about his personal skill is going to climb the brackets with their current gear and upgrade via real wins and most likely avoid boosting or RBG gear. Yes, their is still going to be some boosting, but it’s most likely just a handful of lazy pvp players who won’t admit they suck and get better this season. Most matches are going to be against players in the appropriate gear for their bracket. Especially while its still somewhat early in the season, most people don’t even have full conq sets yet. If you are queing above 1400 and don’t have atleast 40k hp atm, then that isn’t the boosts fault but the fact that you are just undergeared currently.
Just trust me on this one bro, I probably made 10 or 15 threads last season complaining about boosting, it’s MUCH MUCH better than it was last season. If it wasn’t better I’d be in here making a post every other day again until they did something about it.
And also remember, when you run into the boostee, remember his name, and in a few weeks when he’s dropped and playing with lfg/regulars, stomp him for being in a higher bracket than his skill level and you’ll feel rightfully vindicated.
It really doesn’t matter if people get boosted or not. They may have the rating but they don’t have the experience. People find out quick not to invite them again or add them to their f list.
Make title " carried trash gladiator " and give it to everyone who jumped from challenger tier to gladiator in 1 expansion, not even expansion but a season. Embarrassing .
The solution is and always has been very simple.
If they want to have ilvl be rating gated then you need to have a system that scales the ilvl to the appropriate MMR that you’re playing at.
For example you could be in full duelist gear but if you’re Q’ing at 1600 your gear scales to challenger gear, and it would work in the other direction as well. If you’re in unranked gear it would scale up to challenger gear.
You could make the argument that with this system in place what would be the point of rating gated ilvl scaling at all then?
To that i’d say rating gated gear is objectively a horrible idea and has no place in the game if ilvl if going to be as potent an advantage as it currently is.
The conquest vendors should be ilvl 200 and all scale to 259 inside arena. That way you can’t cheese pve content early in expacs by try hard pves getting easy ilvls in arena, and arena players can finally have the level playing field that the vast majority of them want.
If they game wants to keep ilvl scaling for say random BGs so that people can still rofl stomp noobs sure, but inside rated content there is absolutely no space for rating gated ilvl.
You remove rating gated ilvl from the game either by just taking it out or adding the scaling system I spoke about, then carries 99% disappear as the only thing you’d get by paying for carries are achievements and that is the vast minority of the reason why people pay for carries.
Make is so the team always fights groups or above the rank of the highest rank player in the group, along with some ilvl matching.
