Wow annual pass

Honestly I don’t care what they offer because unless they step it up and make a game that will keep me engaged and enjoy playing I won’t pay beyond month to month. I won’t prepay for something I am likely to stop playing after a few weeks.

Oh, yeah you could do it a month at a time, but if you missed any you lost it all. Doing it a month at a time was pointless 'cause you’d be paying $15 / mo vs. a discounted bulk price. It was the same thing except it gave people the option to pay more.

Subbing for a one year subscription over a 6 month subscription is even dumber when you don’t even know what kind of content that Blizzard will release in the following year. You are basically paying for 0 content.

No matter what Blizzard does, there will be a legion of players that will absolutely hate the decision, pine for days long past, and claim that WoW is dying.

What? Someone else is paying for their sub and also bought a token so that means that you, a person who doesn’t spend a dime for the game is now entitled to rewards that paying players get?

Yeah nah dude. That’s not how it works. You want the item from the store then open your wallet.

If someone pays for their sub with a credit card Blizzard gets $15, if someone pays for their sub with gold Blizzard gets $20, i’m not wanting something for nothing. I just get tired of two sets of rules for different subscribers and what Blizzard balance can and can’t buy.

I mean, you kinda are. You want to pay with gold you earned in game - which means that someone upstream from you paid the $20 - and you want the perks for that.

You didn’t pay, yet you want the perks as if you had.

How is that NOT “wanting something for nothing”?

This was awesome. Got D3 for free and the awesome WoW mount the Tyreal Charger or whatever it is called. I would love to see something like that again but obviously they wouldn’t throw in a free game unless they do when OW 2 or D4 comes out but those are likely at least 2-4 years out.

true but some times thats all folks can do like me at the time a month at a time in the long run yeas cost more but could not do it all up front so it was a good option

wish players could have that at least with the 6 month sub and just make it a 6 month commitment

I have a hard time understanding how some of you can’t seem to get it through your heads that Blizzard is still getting their money no matter what, $15 or $20 is still coming their way regardless.

i do not care of monts or tmog or diablo , i want opshin sub 1 year chepest way no perks , none then game ovisly

I’m not debating that. In fact, if you actually read my post, you’d have seen that I said:

So keep your “get it through your heads” commentary to yourself. You’re trying to deflect from the real issue I’m bringing up, that being that if YOU don’t actually pay, YOU want the perks as if you had.

For you, that is specifically and exactly something for nothing.

It all depends on how you look at the transaction, the way Blizzard markets their gold selling operation is that they’re simply the middle man taking a $5 cut, so according to Blizzard i have in fact sold my gold and given the money (my money) to Blizzard for my subscription.

LOL so? Guess what? Those who didn’t want to buy it didn’t have to. Crazy huh? It wasn’t like it was a game feature where you were stuck with it. Also, why would people hate it? Because they couldn’t afford it?

How exactly do they make money when a person farms their own gold to buy one? You have no clue on the stats from those who farm their own gold vs paying for tokens for gold.

It is too complicated for them to understand heh.

I think they understand just fine, they’ve just decided that they want to sit on the other side of the argument and defend Blizzard, seems to be a hobby for some people around here lol

I believe that deal had the same issue because it required a recurring subscription.

My issue with all of their 6 months deals is that they only value recurring subscriptions. I buy 6 months of game-time at a time with my blizzard balance. I pay as much as people with recurring subscriptions (technically they get even more because of how tokens work). Yet I do not get their bonuses because I don’t ever buy a recurring subscription.

I should have gotten every single 6 month promotional item where I had game-time throughout the entire period that the people with subs got them. I was paying them just as much during the exact same time period, but I get nothing because… ??? buying game-time instead of a sub isn’t as good because … ??? ???

I’d take a decent year deal tbh.

I don’t have “must make gold to token to play this game or I am less of a person” ego. One of the bene’s of pay to play ahs been I do what I want when I want. If I want to burn a whole night or several of them on exotic pet hunts I can. And not go damn…I didn’t pick flowers to make money to get a token.

I am still not sure how giving a multi-billion dollar game company money without even releasing content became the norm. Paying a game company for 0 content is idiotic.

If you’re Blizzard, yes, but again… I’m not talking about Blizzard. I’m talking about YOU: YOU did not pay any actual, physical money for your sub, yet YOU want the perks as if you had. YOU want something for nothing.

Accounting is debiting and crediting. Blizzard’s account got credited for your subscription, certainly, but YOUR account did not get debited for it. Someone else’s did. And you want the perks as if YOUR account did get debited for it.

Doesn’t matter. The person who buys the token still pays at least $15 for their own sub fee, and then an additional $20 for the token that they receive gold from a token-buyer for. Blizzard is actually making a $5 bonus profit off of token-buyers. That adds up to a LOT.
