Wow and Discord problem

I have previously sent in a ticket regarding this problem. It was completely ignored with out any reply.

Here is the gist of the problem.
I will be sitting in a Discord channel with friends while playing wow. All of a sudden I will have a visual and audio stutter. The sound cuts in and out 2 or 3 times quickly, visually I get frozen frames, and then finally it ends. Visually it is back to normal. Discord will still be connected but I will have zero audio from Discord. The game was earlier doing the same thing. I forget what I changed in wow to stop wow from losing its sounds. This has ONLY occurred for me while playing Dragonflight. All of my other games do not do this.

Audio drivers and video drivers and windows 10 are all up to date. This is getting very frustrating. This means I have to tab out of dungeons just to disconnect and then reconnect to the discord server to fix this problem.

I have this exact same issue. I went to scan and repair and now I’m stuck on a loop of “Oops something broke” ARRRRGGGHHH.

Like you, I have just tried this also. 2 loops of it so far. Pointless to keep trying to get it to work.

This is the error I get from attempting to use the repair tool for WoW through the Blizzard launcher.

Whoops! Looks like something broke. Give it another shot.Error Code: BLZBNTAGT00000BB8

I have gone through and checked everything potentially off from the list. Zero anti virus software running other than what Windows 10 has in its stuff. (Windows Defender). I additionally added the launcher to the defender for pass through. Still zero change.

Now the game is completely unplayable. I guess this solves the previous problem in a way. But this is not what I’d call a solution. The problem is probably still there, but I can’t get into the game to test now. It just insists on trying to run this check, loop after loop after loop.

I had to completely uninstall the battlenet launcher AND game and reinstall to get the game to load.

As for the error, I even upgraded to windows 11 (not what I wanted to do), and it still does this stupid issue. It’s annoying as hell now. It only started a couple days ago, doesn’t give any errors, but just cuts audio completely.

Question for you Kalthezar-burning-blade.
Do you use the Nvidia broadcast software?

I am still testing after a completely fresh install. But so far, since I have disabled using its features both running on the desktop and running through the driver in my blue yeti microphone software in G-Hub. I have gone a good few hours with out it happening. No graphic hiccups, no audio hiccups that cause discord to falter. But like I said, I am still testing.

I would say Bliz decided we were not worth giving support to. Hopefully the problem is solved.

Hey,

So I don’t use that software, but I also have the yeti blue. So I disabled the feature within my Logitech hub and I’ll begin testing it out after work. Thank you.

No problem! So far, still testing on my end. I have not had it happen since I disabled it in the microphone settings.

Still, clearly a problem with the game causing it. Some sort of interaction with the video card would be my guess. The Nvidia broadcast using the video card to clean up the audio.
