I think it’s possible.
I doubt it. At least current VR is at best a novelty experience and not the future of gaming.

Not seeing the downside here. Some people would pay extra for this! 
All raid bosses are also now Princess Theradras.
Which I’m sure somebody would still pay extra for, probably.

Probably don’t need raids for a VR WoW. I think 5 players in a group would be plenty to organize.
Then again… people will be smarter in the future, so maybe they could handle more.
I am not sure even then VR will pick up short of leaps and bounds in the tech.
Its possible but it would be dead on arrival. “VR full dive” requires everyone have certain hardware that most won’t be getting cause costs go into $1000+ and its not feasable. As it stands now, VR games barely have a player base due to VR headset cost+room required to move around, else you break something, hit your kid or spouse by accident, or worse…somehow hit something that falls on you. Most don’t have a bare room for that.
So true…nope. No thanks. Also wow isn’t designed for first person view anyway, you need to be zoomed out all the time to see whats going on. Imagine heroic sylvannas on first person…you’ll never kill her.

Cost won’t matter.
In the future the government will realize that a population who is entertained is a peaceful population.
So it’ll all be fully funded and free to the public. Just pick your game and PLEASE enjoy your day. Also eat whatever you want. Just stay peaceful.
You need to take that back quickly, because it’s offensive to folks who have lost an eye, some pirates, and cyclops (cyclopses?). That’s not how we roll these days.

I think gaming will be low on the list of VR development priority because there’s more money to be made elsewhere.
Higher on list:
- Movies/tv shows
- Content for those over 18 (if you know what I mean)

That certainly isn’t the US government your talking about, maybe Europe…but usa nah. These are the same people in gov that used a village for a experimental air-ridden weapon over a unsuspecting village(confirmed) and they watched the effects of the villagers dying. They only care about themselves. They will never offer us free anything, they couldn’t even offer us free masks to everyone, you had to go find your own.
The one thing that isn’t on their list is to give everyone free VR for gaming of all things.
