Wow 20th anniversary Quests Not Working

I am having trouble completing the 20th Anniversary Event Quests “Meet and Greet” and “Tat Big Meanie”. In both cases, I do the required action but it does not register as being done. In “Meet and Greet”, I talk to the specified NPCs but I do not receive credit for it in my quest log. In “Tat Big Meanie”, I click on the clues and it says “inspecting” However I do not receive credit for it and cannot advance the quest. I have tried dropping both quests and accepting them again but that did not solve the problem.

So… this happened to me too.
Turns out the problem was I had just done the Chromie event and despite clicking to leave the group, it still considered me as in the raid group. So I had to leave… again.

Then I could interact with the clues. Maybe you ran into the same problem?

I am in the same boat as you all day I have been trying to get it to work and nothing helps. I have fropped the quest multiple times, picked it back up. As far as I get is I find one out of three clues. The other two do not appear for me… I do not know what to do at this point. =(

Yes! I had just completed the Chromie event! I wonder if that was the issue.

Had the same issue, came here to investigate.

Confirmed: dropping the raid group for Chromie’s event fixed this quest and allowed me to pick up the clues.

Still a pretty severe oversight, because many people like to do content while sitting in groups of friends, or may have been in an instance group that they forgot to drop.
