WoW 2, will it happen?

Think it will happen or will WoW just eventually end and onto a totally new MMORPG?

if they did to it what they did to Overwatch when they made Overwatch 2… then I’m sorry but I’d have to hope not. I’m fine paying for a subscription and maybe one or two things from the shop but not the hugely monetized crap they did to Overwatch 2 happening to WoW

If it were it would be a long way away. Retail is cheaper to make updates/expansions for.

This whole WoW 2 thing doesn’t make logical sense from any angle you try to look at it.

You already have wow 2 it’s called Classic… Give it time to follow it’s on path away from retail version.

There really isn’t any need of WoW 2 until they can no longer can upgrade their system without starting fresh.

Nope.

They don’t have the talent to make it work.

Most of what WoW is today is built on the bones of something better.

I’m hoping the next console generation will motivate Blizz to make a WoW2 cross platform release. It seems to work pretty well for FF14. Does that game support cross platform grouping and guilds? Seems like a pretty solid selling point for a relaunch of WoW.

Past time it should have happened this game is so cluttered up from expansions its a mess. Kind of like Destiny 2 right now it needs a reset and entirely new release.

NO

wow 2 will not happen for a few reason there are vets that played this game for 19-20 years. do you think they would be happy if they had to restart from day 1 and lose all of their treasures

Somebody needs to explain to me exactly what WoW2 is or would be.

No.

Best thing is to hope for another ‘revolutionary’ MMORPG like WoW was when it came along for the first time.

Even then it was nothing really new, just flashy and accessible compared to the games around it.

It’d have to be lightning in a bottle, in multiplayer form.

updated graphics using unreal engine 5 that is just about it lol

So…same game, more or less, just higher rez graphics?

Well, that would probably stop me from playing the game. I wanted to try Bethesda’s new space game, but the graphics requirements were too high for my computer, so I couldn’t. There have been a couple of UE games that I tried to get but couldn’t, as they just wouldn’t work for me.

Problem with UE is that it becomes dated. ESO uses an older form of it and you can see the difference in it now to newer games coming out. I can play ESO as it is older tech but 5 or higher? Probably not. So they would likely loose a big slice of older players using their current machines or newer ones unable to afford expensive GPUs etc.

I never understood the obsession with the Unreal engine. The only games that crash on me are ones using Unreal. And they always want me to send crap to Unreal about it.

You aren’t missing anything with Starfield.

I don’t get it either besides it wouldn’t be WoW anymore. Even though some of the videos of WoW using Unreal do look kinda cool.

So I’ve heard, and I did have high hopes for it. Waaay back years ago I used to play a single player game called Galactic Civilizations and I always wished for a live MMO type version of it, where I could go out and establish bases and build colonies, etc. I thought Starfield might be something like that.
