WoW 15th Anniversary Event Not On Calendar

The WoW 15th Anniversary Event is currently missing from the in-game calendar.

I’ve noticed people were having the same issue, seeing how that event is a month away is worrying. The bug or whatever it may be has been present for awhile, and I haven’t seen a fix for it yet  I hope it’s still in-game somehow, I don’t wanna miss out on a good looking dragon mount.

It’s still not appearing on the calendar. I guess they aren’t going to bother hotfixing it until the event is supposed to go live and it doesn’t go live.

Given the event was postponed in Taiwan, I’m gonna hazard a guess and say we can expect a post about how they’re pushing the Anniversary back to “a later date”.

Though it’s been missing from the calendar longer than that, it’s just something to ponder on.

It’s missing on my calendar too :o

Does an event have to be on the calendar for it to actually happen? I thought it was just a tool to remind players of when things are happening?

The calendar entry (or lack thereof) has nothing to do with the event happening.

It is definitely an oversight because people like to plan ahead, but the idea that Christmas would be canceled because someone misprinted a calendar is some spectacular fear-mongering.

Well the issue is that the event itself might be bugged/missing. I’m hoping that the devs will actually look into the issue ASAP to make sure that the Anniversary Event will actually start when it’s supposed to instead of waiting for a potential disaster.

I’m sure the event will get hotfixed in if it doesn’t start when it’s supposed to, but I’m concerned it might cause the event to get shortened as a result.

Are you afraid it’s not going to start just because it isn’t in the calendar or is there some other reason? I don’t think the calendar is what actually starts events, but some people are sounding like it is so maybe I’m missing something.

Either way it’s a bug if it’s supposed to be marked, but I don’t think it’s anything more than that. Like someone else here said, if someone misprinted a calendar and forgot to label December 25th as Christmas, that doesn’t mean Christmas got cancelled, right?

Either way,I hope it’s just a bug on the calendar and the event actually happens. Been waiting ever since they showed the rewards.

The issue isn’t that “not on the calendar means not happening when intended,” the issue is that the event missing on the calendar may mean that the event is bugged/missing.

I’m guessing we’ll find out one way or another if the event is bugged/missing on the day of the intended start date of the 15th Anniversary event since it doesn’t look like Blizzard’s going to bother addressing the issue at all.

It may start as planned, though it also may not start at all and will have to be hotfixed. It depends on what’s causing the event to not appear on the calendar.

They didn’t plan on being around 15 years later.

What gets me is that it’s the only event that’s gone from the calendar, all the other events are untouched. But we’ll all see what happens on that day I guess.

I wish they’d fix this or make some type of official announcement… My comp graphics card is not doing well and I had to quit wow to make it last till I can buy a new computer… but I had planned to come back for the event… but without knowing when the event is happening I’m not using in game gold or real $ to buy time.

I just want to know when to buy the time so I can come back for the event…

At Blizzcon they announced the anniversary event starts Nov 5.

I never look into stuff with Blizzcon (cause I’m lazy), did they say how long it would run?

I’d rather see something more concrete then a panel at a convention. I’ve seen Blizzard say one thing and do another to many times…

Word has it, it is going to last 2 months.

I’ll definitely have to keep a close eye on the game for sure, hopefully everyone has fun with it.
