Wouldn't this resolve the RDF/Boosting debate?

I’m sorry if this has been suggested before, I don’t use the forum very often.

Pristine Server

  • RDF tool disabled.
  • Name change(s) disabled.
  • Boosting service(s) disabled.
  • Realm Transfer service disabled.
  • Completely removed from cross-realm interactions.

Then just leave “normal” servers as-is and include the QoL changes that some people want? I’m not a developer so this might not be possible, just want everyone to be happy and get they want from Classic.

Pristine Server is already close to what it is now. QoL changes are already available in retail. People can play 100% of the entire wrath expansion in retail ‘right’ now with the full implementation of RDF.

…but, they rather trash this branch of the game (again) instead.

The problem is everyone would play there and not buy boosts or transfers.

They could solve for this by charging whatever revenue they perceive they would make on these services.

You would effectively have a bunch of full realms with RDF and a population on pristine realms that would make Era look like its successful

The problem is you would risk splitting the community which is almost always a negative. Had it been done from the start then maybe it would work, but now that we’re dealing with established communities the negatives are likely to outweigh the positives.

The topic of the day is RDF.

Literally history repeating itself.
