Would you take a deaf/hoh player into raiding/m+ guild?

I believe that when one of your senses doesn’t work, the other ones sharpen. I would 100% take them.

No one actually talks in pugs, so why not?

Suppose it’s common sense that isn’t working? What happens then?

I would be wary if they advertised it… otherwise im unsure how I would know.

Evaluate whether they are able or not to prog it with the group and give them the same chance anyone else would have.

My brother is hearing impaired and we ran 2v2 back in the day. He was a beast, and usually carried me

WoW doesn’t really use sound as a mechanic, at least not unless tied to something visual as well. You can legitimately play this entire game without ever having sound turned on lol.

Yeah, pugging typically doesn’t involve voice chat. I see no reason why sound would be a requirement to play or group with someone.

I often play without my headphones on my head. Sometimes I just like quiet.
There is no noticeable difference to me in my performance with or without audio.

Now reverse it, give me headphones and turn off my monitor, we might have some issues.

Yes. I don’t actually like to listen to people talk so they would be perfect.

I mean, they have eyes. They have hands. I’m assuming they’re perfectly capable of reading and understanding the written language, of whatever community they are within utilizes for communication.

So, I see no issues here. Can’t be any worse than the people with all their faculties, who still manage to play like a used burn pit.

Used to PvP and raid with my brother and a friend (both deaf).
Zero issues with them or me.
We did (talk) things out in general beforehand.
Also had some macro’ed text key binds like
“Targeting Frostaff” or “Targeting Dorf.”
“Cc’ing Briton.”
“Healing numbskull.”
The only time we had an issue was usually with some impatient…umm…person joining our groups and not wanting 30-180 seconds of planning.
We would run in trios and also in 8 vs 8 pvp in Dark Age of Camelot.
Then we moved to Wow.
Worked fine here too.
