Would you support a rogue bard spec?

Just gonna put this here, don’t mean to be that guy but rogues are the cliché d-bag class of wow. Always have been and always will be.

Not at all. In fact in S1 of DF I was a rogue main but swapped due to the guild needing a tank this season.

If they added bards, I would think they should be their own class. And now that Blizzard has begun experimenting with support classes, I suppose its not totally unbelievable that we might ever see thrm some day anymore.

Personally I’d rather see tinkers though with mech suit tanks and gun dps.

All classes should have 4 specs at this point. With more generalized support roles added (crowd control, buffer, debuffer).

There’s no reason classes need to have multiple DPS specs. It’s redundant and with the way things are going they all operate on builder + spender simplicity anyway.

As a warlock I tinker with all 3 specs. But if I had something like a crowd controlling demonology spec or a tanking demonology spec that I think would be more interesting. I don’t need demonology to be a DPS spec. But I can see someone would say they desire it.

There was a time where warriors had a gladiator spec which was basically arms with sword and board. The talent trees could accommodate some nuanced things like this. How the DPS spec does its DPS could be handled this way.

A 4th spec that primarily uses bows/guns instead of daggers/swords? yes please.

I’d like to see another class use ranged weapons other than just hunters. Feels like a waste almost.

I’d be down for that. Personally I’ve always envisioned a 4th Rogue spec as a tank, but the idea of a Bard spec as either support DPS or Healer has grown on me recently.

I’d prefer a stringed instrument myself …

I totally agree. The exception being melee and ranged specs, otherwise all of the dps specs play too similarly.

Bard is a stand alone class imo there are a lot of possible spec options for bard.

I play Bard in FFXIV and it’s a cool supp-ranged. Definitely some potential for it in this game.

I don’t think it should be a rogue spec though. To me it doesn’t fit

This is a good point. In a sense, melee and ranged are their own sub roles. So anything which differs that much should be preserved.
