He’s well aware of it. That tweet came out a while ago, before the movement even started picking up as much steam as it has now. He was basically surprised that anyone was against his idea of not having it, he thought he was so enlightened and in tune with the community that no one would disagree with him on the issue, that’s why he was so taken aback when people were like wtf lol.
Every time he or some of the new retail devs they brought over come up with a ‘‘good idea’’ they end up just being so surprised when people are like ‘‘Is this an april fools joke?’’ Many of us are just sitting here like: ‘‘Pleassse stahp it. Just leave it alove for the love of god!’’.

They now acknowledge they are undecided on the decision if you open a ticket about LFD. Future looking bright finally

They need to hire someone with a rolled up newspaper to just sit beside the new classic devs and everytime they mention changing something, swat them and make that ‘‘Ack!’’ Noise you make at a dog that’s misbehaving. And before anyone gets any wise ideas about reporting this for violence or something, the newspaper does not even hurt, it’s the noise that they won’t like!

ohhhhhh this guy has some news! lets see those screencaps!!! that would just be cruel if you didnt have them right?
not at all! i couldnt think of a better way to hurt these people than what youre doing lolololololol
Don’t you think at some point it will be added?
Its funny to watch the used car salesmen still try to sell us that wreck of a majority.
Newsflash for the hard of thinking, using the majority as any kind of justification is just an appeal to consensus fallacy. Its a fallacy for a reason.
Consensus never proved anything.
Its not an argument, its a side note and its not worth anything there either.

i kinda doubt it, since you asked me a good faith question, i’ll give you a good faith answer. Based on the “design pillars” theyre trying to appeal to an audience that doesnt have an MMO right now, people who dislike these QOL changes. cata classic’s only hope AT ALL is to retain the playerbase from tbc classic or it actually will die and classic with it. i think theyre priming a niche of MMO’ers to play classic, and pristine servers.
If they plan on removing most of the QoL changes from Cata, they shouldn’t even call it Cataclysm classic. Then again, maybe that’s what the true classic players want.
I dont think classic players would make the mistake of putting Cata in the classic lineup.
Wrath barely makes the grade but it makes it.
thats the point right, theyd have to SELL it as a “classic” experience, which they start by not including RDF in wrath. which im assuming leads to classic style talents, steeper xmog requirements, and lastly, no rdf implementation.
Yeah, but they can’t go past Cataclysm if that’s the design philosophy with classic. Could you image MoP without things like transmog and a mount tab?
I believe that they are intending to tailor to that type of player. However, I don’t think they have any belief that Cata classic could work. I can’t imagine how much you would have to change Cata to make it “classic”. It would be a completely different game.
I also think they erroneously believe if you don’t like their “classic” route that retail is a valid back up option. Retail is just plain awful.

Yes. That doesn’t fix my issue with it.

Anecdotal but Wrath wasnt meh solely because of RDF imo. There was a whole bunch of other stuff Arthas had to put on his shoulders to carry that game imo. It was definitely the weakest of the three.
I dont think RDF is an offense to classic players - it was indeed in Wrath of course. Was it the best part of that expansion? Or important? Not by a long shot. Besides all that I dont even know what a classic player is anymore.
I thought I did but I didnt.

i agree, it would def be a hard sell. “classic” cata is legit the only way id ever consider playing cata, but maybe thats the intention.
This would go a long way to making it worth putting in for me.
You shouldn’t need a reward for grouping, and having the same people from your server still gives you the opportunity to get to know people “locally” rather than a bunch of randoms.
By what metric? A bunch of people complaining on the forums?
People will always complain and make their presence known. People rarely compliment. That’s just human nature.
It only stands to reason people would come to complain about not having RDF rather than thanking them for not adding it.
We CANNOT make an “educated guess” on whether more people are ok with this because those people haven’t (and likely won’t ever) spoken up about it.
Even I, a lowly RDF enjoyer, quit during Cata because it strayed too far.
