So someone called me with a number I didn’t know, because I have a Google Pixel phone, they offer Google AI screen calling where the phone basically answers the call for me and determines if it’s a scammer or not.
In this case it wasn’t and then I have the choice to answer or not by telling me this is a legitimate person reaching for me.
Isn’t it crazy how technology has gotten up and up over the past decade when smartphones came out?
Anyways, would you have an AI service like this for your phone?

Yes, absolutely. My phone already blocks half the spam I get and screens for me.
It’s not my main device, but I have a Pixel 3XL w/Google Fi that does double duty as an Android test device (I’m an app dev) and a travel phone (since Google Fi works in most countries automatically).
I’ve gotten a few spam calls on the Pixel’s phone number, which gave me the opportunity to use Assistant’s call screening feature. It works well and better yet, a lot of spammers will just hang up when they realize that a live person isn’t answering the call.
So if my main phone got such a feature (presumably via Siri) I would absolutely use it, especially since the Apple version would probably have all the AI done on-device instead of shipping it off to a server like Google tends to.
