Would you quit the game if they made this change to Delves?

I think the drop chance is something like 4% per 8+ delve.

I only really had one map that replaced an item slot for me, the rest were sidegrades at best. As I usually kept getting pieces from slots I already had 616+ hero gear in and not 606+ champion still. I don’t think they should be removed though, but they’ve been compared to Titanforging in the past. Is it any different? Idk.

Don’t care about the great vault to be honest. I don’t know why people put so much emphasis on such a static thing.

I might only get a map a week… but it is a greater dopamine hit than the vault ever is. The vault is just crests at this point in time.

More curious to the reasoning for the question, OP. Are you asking because you think maps are like too good and shouldn’t be a thing or something?

They are so rare they are pretty pointless. Most people won’t get enough guilded crests from them in a season to craft or fully upgrade a single item.

Back in that first week of delves I felt like they were dropping like hot cakes. I got at least 4 of my map total from delves below T8. One of them was a T3 lol.

Just knowing that Delves are on Blizzards nerf radar after reading Ions comments I stopped running Delves all together in favor of PvP. I’m not getting back on the Blizzard Merry go round concerning their belief that solo content must be a precursor to group content and thus cannot have its own endgame gear loop.

If they come out and say they have changed direction again and intend to make delves a stand alone endgame pillar then I will be playing delves again… At this point I may run them occasionally to try and get the purple backpack mog but that’s all and I will bounce from Delves entirely once I get the mog.

To Blizzard, Stop insisting on all modes of play leading to group play for all…its not a thing Bruh!

I really only play one other alt at the moment myself, which is a ret paladin that I mostly use for gold generating professions, but she got 3 maps in one week from a total of 8 delves. It was almost frustrating because I don’t use that toon for progress, like I do on this one. Lol

How could someone be 100% committed to doing delves, but nothing else? I’d rather have more open world content.

Well…but being able to do delves requires at least some engagement with open world content. That’s kind of the whole key gathering thing. It’s not like these things aren’t already being connected and it’s not like they can’t both be expanded. More does does not = less open world content.

I’ll never quit the game no matter what they do. They’ll have to pull the plug,.

I wouldn’t notice. I’ve done so many delves and I only ever got 2 maps.

They have already nerfed map drops to rare, so I doubt that would make a difference.

The question to be asked, however, is why would you want to cut down on someone’s fun? Given recent messages threads, the likely reason is that you don’t want people to have choices for meaningful gear progression other than M+. So, if they removed gilded crests from M+, would you unsub?

I’ve kept playing through Warlock Metamorphosis, Azurite Armour and all of SL, so it’d take a lot more than that to make me quit the game.

Maps are so rare they might as well not exist. I’ve only gotten 3 so far so less than 2% drop rate apparently. It would be fine to get rid of them and add guaranteed gilded crests to T8+. As it stands there is zero reason for me to ever do more than a T8, at least in S1. :hear_no_evil::speak_no_evil::see_no_evil:

I get so few maps that they are utterly irrelevant to me.

I wouldn’t if they only removed the maps, very rarely have seen those.

Maps are fine… People need to learn to stay in their lane.

Seems like a petty thing to quit over. I can’t quit. At least not till February 2026 hahaha.

No you dont need a better way for “delvers” to get gilded crests…“delvers” have no need for gilded crests…you want hard content crests go do hard content

It would annoy the crap out of me. That would be a needless change, the purpose of which could really only be to further kneecap the potential of casual players and/or stop M+ players from progressing to high keys as quickly.

I already stopped participating in delves as it is. The loot just isn’t there. They’re nothing more than a stepping stone to get into M+ quicker. Anybody doing M+ that tries to deny using them as a loot skip is full of it, regardless of their skill level.

Psst. You know +8 keys are brain dead easy, right?

And why would they remove maps?

I’d be incredibly annoyed, but not enough to quit.

But why remove the maps? They aren’t overly rewarding, and you don’t get them very often.
