I wonder if they are working on WoW mobile to give us a way to play the exact game on our phones.. Would you guys be into something like this? Something similar to what Runescape has now. The controls would probably not be optimal but I guess it would be cool to be able to play if you are at work or something. I don't know, this is the only thing I can think of that would have Blizz so confident in mobile..but then again they are clearly out of touch maybe I am just being optimistic
no
I think most may be on your side. Maybe we already have our mobile platform though with the mission table app11/11/2018 05:01 PMPosted by Khristabelno
If it means my cat can play it then sure =^.^=
No.
Because they can't be the same. There's no way I could fit all my abilities on a phone, much less see anything else. Take the action bars out of the equation and I wouldn't be able to see what I'm doing if you shrunk my screen down to the size of my phone. So if I had one phone for my action bars and another for my screen, it would still be pretty awful.

There is no way I can think of that the could compress the game to run on a phone.
Phone games are supposed to be simple mindless things to pass the time while you are in things like the 18th meeting of the day to discuss the same nonissue as the previous 17 meetings.

Nope; one of the reasons for the CGD changes was for playing WoW on a tablet. Now try imagining an even smaller device.
Not possible to be the same on phones.
And no, I won't play a WoW mobile.

Unless it's compatible with my landline, no.

hmm very true i did not consider the ability bar
Identical how?? Because they'll share the same name??
You might as well claim Sim City 3000 is the same a Pong... because they're both video games.
That's literally the depth and breadth of difference I see in PC gaming and what you can do on a phone.

And have my phone overheat, battery die almost instantly, on a tiny screen I have to squint at, with all the potential connection issues, with my hands covering half the screen?
No.
I mean, it's the same reason I won't buy a tablet. If I'm at home, why not just play on my PC. If I'm out, well, I'd need a decent connection so it's sort of not gonna happen over wifi even with unlimited data.

i think its pretty obvious what i meant by identical
Exactly. How could it be the same?? Movement, keybinds, camera positioning? How would any of these things translate?11/11/2018 05:01 PMPosted by Khristabelno
Why on earth would I want to play this game on a tiny screen where you can't see anything? The open world is as much a part of the game as anything else. Not to mention action bars would need a magnifying glass to see.
Also, I can play unlimited hours on my pc; phone needs to charge and something like WoW would eat battery power in no time at all.

No, tiny screen plus only a few controls means it could not even be similar.
Besides, playing games at work is a stupid idea.

You can do that now with parsec.

Didn't they make glasses that project something similar to a big screen tv on the lenses? I'm surprised no one has used that for a portable gaming rig yet
