Would you play with no transmog or updated char models?

Would you play retail if there was no transmogs or updated character models?

not without t mog, no TBC clown suits…

Nope. WoW customization is already way outdated compared to other games.

I played for years before transmog was a thing. I’d do it again.

I would like to say yes, but I use transmog alot more than I used to, lol.

It has become a big part of the game.

My question to you is, why does it even matter?

Nope lol, you have on a mog asking this question?

I play on RP Servers.

ā€œRP Gearā€ runs of old content were already a thing before Transmog.
I’d just have cosmetic sets to wear when I’m screwing around town.

Doesn’t super matter what I look like in M+ and Raid. I’m zoomed out the whole time and so is everyone else.

This also matters.

I wouldn’t quit over it, but Blizzard actively deciding to get rid of Transmog after ~16 years is a much different story than it never existing to begin with. It’d be an extremely valid position to be pissed at Blizzard and quit over the blatant hostility that would show toward the playerbase.

That depends, did xmog not exist or was it removed

No. I remember the game before we could transmog, I hated replacing gear and looking all mismatched once I had a gear set. I have OCD, I must match!

No, because cosmetics matter more than anything else to me now.

If they never added tmog in the first place, maybe

if they removed it in the next patch, no I would probably quit.

It isn’t why I play, but I could not stand to go back to being stuck with ugly clown suits or being forced to wear whole sets even if they are not well stated to make myself not dumb looking.

i only play classic and i do not miss the xmog feature, so yes.

Mogging being gone wouldnt bother me too much. But…I would avoid TBC gear like the plague if that was the case.

For me I’d just slowly collect an outfit I liked the look of and then make it my ā€œtown setā€ because really the only place I pay attention to my mogs even now is in town. As far as group content goes there is generally far too much going on for me to even register what races/classes I am playing with much less what they have on.

So if tmog just went poof I’d probably just do that kind of system again. Wouldn’t change much about the game for me.

No transmog, no.

I don’t like the updated models, and would play without them if I could. Humans are sexier in Classic.

Whenever I’m lazy and haven’t bothered with setting up a transmog when I swap specialization, or play on an alt and do so… I do it.

So… yes. Updated models is a weird one (and so is no transmog) but… yes.
Why the question?

I’m of the opinion that transmog is a feature that needs to be in every rpg in some way shape or form.

So no, knowing of transmog and having it removed I would not play.

No to both.

The only reason it worked in the past was because we didn’t know what we didn’t have.

No transmog is a major dealbreaker

Transmog and updated graphics are the only thing keeping me from switching to HC Classic permanently.
