Would You Play A Cataclysm Fan Server if Blizzard Stopped Supporting Classic After ICC?

If Blizzard refuses to support Classic WoW content beyond ICC would you play on a fan-created Cataclysm server like back when Nostalrius was a thing? I personally love Cataclysm and want Classic WoW to be supported for a long time with new updates! If they stopped at ICC all that time played would be wasted. I wouldn’t be able to do new things on my Classic characters! I went to Nostalrius back in the day because they refused to give us Classic. If they decide to cut off my progression at ICC I’d be pretty upset

Whether that means Cataclysm Classic or Classic +, I’m hoping Blizzard continues to give us new stuff beyond Wrath. I don’t want to deal with those awful connections that these kinds of servers have just because a bunch of whiners convinced Blizzard to end support for Classic after Wrath.

I don’t want to go beyond Wrath but Blizzard will listen to the community I suppose.

Don’t consider pirate servers to be anything I would ever play.

I dont see why somebody would play cata over retail. Retail is just a better version of cata. As for classic wow i hope blizzard support classic + rather than going through all the expacs.

No outlands no northrend, bring classes to vanilia, balance them a bit add in RBGS, New raids new dungeons but keep the same vanilia game design.

Only if they don’t implement transmog and LFR. That’s the only way I’ll play any of the expansions moving forward

No thanks. I’ll play Classic Era. A Phase 7 might be cool.

Makes me sad cuz I miss wrath and should’ve kept a wrath era.

Why necro this from 2022???

No way. I never, ever want to revisit Cata again.
The only reason I do not play on the Anniversary servers is that Blizz won’t tell where they are going to stop. If they make Era TBC and Era Wrath servers split off the Anniversary servers, I’d go there - and even more so if they did the same for HC, but with the no comments policy. I stay in Era.

Edit:

I only noticed now that it was a nekro, but I think the answer is that it’s relelvant once again.

If I were Blizzard, I would have stopped with the constant expansions. Vanilla, TBC and Wrath would’ve been WoW 1. Then you start WoW 2 with Cata after a significant time jump and do another series of 3 versions: Cata, MoP and the regrettable WoD. Then do WoW 3 and so on. Expansion after expansion after expansion without significant enough time lapses is silly. All this stuff happened within, what, 20 years of Anduin’s life? Way too silly.
