Maybe tie it to a Quest where some Fel Orcs, like those untrustworthy Blood Elves after they ate Fel Magic like it was a buffet, get redeemed thus letting you customize your Orc characters with Fel red skin and features?

Well sure, but there isn’t a flimsy plot arc to make Fel-Orcs into thousands of good guys yet as far as I know.
Doesn’t have to be thousands. I mean, do we even have more than a handful of Void Elves canonically?

but anyway, this sounds like an allied race, not customization. I’m always up for blizzard revving up the allied race machine again.

The problem with this is Fel Orcs are inherently villainous, they’re like chaos space marines. They literally drank the koolaid. Why would the “heroes of azeroth” be a race that is exclusively evil?
… That would open up a lot of cool Transmog options.
except virtually every new race they have added to the game (with the exception of vulpera and dracthyr) are glorified customization options that could have been achieved via the character creation screen, barber chair or in the case of Kul tirans, a character model slider

I mean, with how many good guy fel examples we have in game it’s actually not that hard to justify.
by now the hellfire peninsula fel orcs have gone over a decade without a strong source of demon blood to consume, perhaps the effects it had on their mind have faded, unfortunately their bodies remain mutated forever.
We also killed magtheridon, killing the source of the blood corruption is supposed to free the orcs minds - at least that’s the implication I got from grom killing mannoroth in WC3.
Anything can be redeemed. I mean, they redeemed a certain Warchief… Somehow.
I know in BC you collected fel orc blood so they could attempt to redeem them as a race, but ultimately it went nowhere. I just remembered those quests. I guess they could continue that plot.
Well, as a race they don’t have to be reformed. If Void Elves can exist with only a small handful than why not a small handful of Fel Orcs?
Canonically we know through an interview with Steve Danuser that there’s a steady flow of Blood Elves and High Elves being recruited by and seeking out the Void Elves to join their ranks.
That sounds appalling considering just how dangerous Void stuff is. I can see a lot of potential recruits dying or having to be killed because they failed the initiation.
We just never collected enough Fel Orc blood my alliance brothers. We almost had Alliance Orcs. Almost.
We need to correct this at once!

Red skin Draenei though would pull me from Classic back to retail lol
