Classic was rolled out with the same graphics quality (updated models, landscapes, etc.) as in retail and also included transmogrification?
Just wanted to know if overall look is a big deal for the Classic community.

On the forums there seems to be two mindsets.
One wants only things in classic.
Other wants QoL changes.
Neither is right or wrong but likely the first will win out for this museum piece.
I was hoping the upgraded graphics, models, animations etc would be in.
Would make the game perfect and doesnt change the game itself. still great as is though
No for transmog though
While i personally like these things, I would be against putting them in Classic.
Before xmogs you could tell how well geared someone was by looking at them. I like knowing if i am about to open on someone with raid gear on versus, someone in full greens.
I don’t think it has a place. Armor dies at the most. I think looking like a scrub and not wanting to look like a scrub anymore is a good motivator. It’s all part of these interconnected incentives and motivations.
Transmog I miss, but if the choice was between that or the HD graphics I’d choose the updated visuals. Mainly because I’m playing on a 32inch screen now not a 17inch. Sometimes practicality must win out over purity.
I honestly don’t care about the graphics. It’s all about the game play and community
You do realize you still inspect people… right?
I want the game I loved. Not the poop now
#MyClassic
Allowing transmogs in certain areas might not be so bad. I think other games do this with social gear?
#nochanges
Having said that, upgraded graphics would be great (no transmog which is an abomination) as long as it didn’t affect the gameplay in any way. The problem is new models, animations, and effects can have unforseen consequences when interacting with world geometry etc. It could break something, and as long as it did I would be against it.
No as long as is wasn’t the default option and you could toggle between them.
Yeah, I don’t like this part. Seeing someones gear and knowing what it means is a part of vanilla.
I would love a wow classic reforged(graphics).
That said, I dont want any QOL changes, but I would like just enough balance changes to make all talent tree’s viable. That WAS their original goal, they didnt want anyone having to change specs to get invited.
So how do you inspect a member of the opposition out in the world? Am i suppose to armory every horde im considering ganking?
People love to highlight the idea that better geared characters look cooler, but the opposite tends to be true. While I theoretically understand where people are coming from when opposing transmog - realistically, the best geared players tend to look absurd. If you need a sample of this, look at almost any BiS set for Healers.
No. I’d have preferred it that way.
Hell no.
Hell. No.
Would you actually understand what it means when I’m wearing an assortment of random armor anyway? Sure - maybe you could identify my weapon, but can you really identify my gloves? Then there are plenty you’re not even capable of identifying - Necklace, Rings, Bracers, Belt. How about boots on a Tauren?
Yes. Once you learn what the armor looks like (which most people did know before transmog), you knew who to open on and who not to.
Your jewelry/smaller pieces did not matter. Your larger pieces and weapon did.
Having now seen the Classic aesthetic – yes, I think it would be a bad idea to use new graphics/animations in Classic. The older stuff is not bad, by any means, and the atmosphere the visuals create is as much a part of the experience as the game mechanics.
