I’ll take anyplace to meet someone I could love/get along with. This world is full of people yet can’t meet mrs right, so limiting options would be stupid.
A little over a year ago I moved in with my bf, whom I met on WoW. We had known each other for several years and after lots of talking, skype calls, a few rl meetings and playing together in game I decided to move the 2000 miles to be with him. I haven’t regretted it yet.
I personally don’t use wow as a dating site however my exp aren’t great. Some guy in a guild I was in back in vanilla tried so hard it was funny as I was not interested however he kept claiming to be GM then random char would message me claiming to be another girl he was talking it was uh crazy to say the least
However on the flip side in the same guild I had 2 guildies who met on wow they would play together one was a druid tank the other a druid healer, got into and pvp together, eventually met and eventually married still married to this day with 2 kids. So guess it just depends on your luck.
I dated a girl I met on wow. Unfourtunatley it didnt end well. I envy those that can make it work. Ill keep dreaming though

The one time I talked to a girl on here it was well special I personally think I was her curious soundboard and I was like ya no thanks. However men are a dime a dozen and the minute they find out im a girl they seem to think it is open season till I have to kindly let them know they are not my cup of tea. Most have been cool made some great friends other its like they just vanished.

No, since I bet it would be a dude (like me.) I’m not saying that it is a horrible thing, but it is just not my thing.
To be honest, we need to consider that upon first meeting, people involved in this sort of thing encounter personalities first, making it pretty legit compared to many other relationships. I guess I would in that case.

To be fair, it can also mean gnome in real life.
It makes no sense at all to me to look specifically in Wow, or any computer game, for dates let alone marriage partners. TBH I laugh at stuff like that. It’s also really weird when people assume your gender and sexual preference out of the blue. It’s like, why does this even interest you so much, pig. Female irl here. Yes I definitely would. A lovely friend of mine I played with in WOW since WOTK took me out for a lovely evening last valentines day. I was a bit nervous, but I went and I had such a great time. The guy was very well manned and in good shape too. I had such a great time and I have zero regrets about going. People just need to make sure they are careful and spend time getting to know someone before meeting. Watch for red flags.

I’m sorry to hear that. I met my husband playing WoW (in the tail end of Vanilla) and love of games is one of the things that we originally bonded over. It was definitely our way of getting to know one another and over-coming anxieties. We play all kinds of games together now. We’ve been married 7 years and friends for about 14.
