How exactly do you propose Blizz fix faction balance?
They could give the Alliance OP racials, but that’d just swing the pendulum the other way.
They could make all racials perfectly balanced, but that’d just mean the Horde players had no incentive to switch to Alliance.
The only thing they can do at this point is allow cross faction grouping.

To be fair the game has never had balance of any sort.
If blizard hires me and pays me >200.000$ per year I might solve it. Not my job.
oceanic eu all that are flipped from us it’s all over. they should of got rid of faction changes long ago would of discouraged alot of it just having to level again you wanted to switch sides. money matters though.

So you’re blaming Blizzard for something they really have no control over…

Faction balance is more reliant on the players taking action, because at best Blizzard can connect realms together to attempt to fix balance issues, but they rarely do this as server connections come with their own risks. Not only does it take a lot of time (it’s not as simple as flipping a switch) but it could create queue times for servers that previously didn’t have any because now they’re all on the same server blade and no one likes dealing with queue times jut to play the game.
So what’s the next best solution? Faction transfers. Offering free or heavily reduced faction transfer costs for certain servers, or enabling character transfers for the controlling faction on a given realm so that people from the larger faction go to realms where they can bolster their own faction support and even out a potential disparity there.
The only problem with both of those is that they rely on us being willing to make the move, and time and time again WoW players have shown they’re not willing to take that step. Why leave a server where you have an advantage? There’s no reason to and the last thing Blizzard is going to do is forcefully move players, that actually will create an exodus of players leaving, something I’ve seen before with other MMOs that tried the exact same thing.
No. I like the game. There have been things that annoyed me, but for the most part the things I enjoy remain in the game. When you add in the updates that have made the game more enjoyable, then I can’t really see a reason to cancel.

Well due to the current state of the game, I’m just taking it in small doses, so I’m sure I’ll taper off eventually.
The longest unsubbed break I ever took from the game was mid-way through wod into about half of legion. So about 2 years. The reason at the time being they were pruning most of the abilities out of the game. If they ever prune like that again I will leave again.

the only time I lapse in sub is when there is nothing to keep me playing. If i have nothing meaningful to work on, Im not about to throw myself into a monthly grind primary. It could be a good secondary, as long as there is something to keep me first
Op is posting on a dead account incase you guys were wondering.
The way I see it, the only way I’d cancel my sub is if I literally couldn’t afford it… or if they removed transmog.
If i were tasked with trying to fix the imbalance, i would turn all racials into an old glyph type UI, each character could select 2 combat specific and 2 non combat racials regardless of faction. At the very least, people who want to play seriously can be on whichever faction they prefer, it won’t make half of the horde raiding community return to the alliance but perhaps things would even out over time.

First world problems
I subbed ONE Month to get a FULL RAGE BAR EXECUTE in the burning Crusade - man my 70 Warrior can do Sweeping strikes whirlwind on 4 regular stupid mobs and win in like 3-6 swings!
On the other hand My retail Warior is trash and his orginal talents were gutted to make him a lame baby kisser with execute lameness and Colossal Smash ? what is Colossal smash ? A stupid debuff boring requisite attack… yeah Blizzard wrecked warriors after Burning Crusade and the game got more confusing and more dumb with each expansion.
Now I am unsubbed because I can not find a raid spot or regular Heroic Dungeon either - they could have done some cool changes and made a LFG tool in the classic to help me and TONS of other low population DPS warriors but they choose not to - so I unsubbed I may come back in 2 months when heroics are easy and I can get a raid spot… or I may not overall Blizzard is making bad decoctions repeatedly but Daibllo Reseceted and Diablo 4 look good so Blizzard is not all fail.

Cant really force players to play one side or another, and my guess is the vast number of players already have characters on both sides anyway, but prefer playing one side or another.
I have a list of alliance…but I really only like horde for the most part.
They need to get rid of the faction war, let it go already, and do something more akin to covenants where race doesnt force me to play one side or another.
Gangs or mobster like groups, half a dozen of them. Give them personality but ZERO game advantages so players can pick the one that fits the ROLE playing aspect of their character, not just taking it for the perks.
Or, maybe make guilds more important. Have guild wars. Your guild against mine. BGs and PvP based on guilds instead of faction.
So two orcs and fight against each other for their guild instead of their faction or race.
Maybe some guild level mogs and mounts for the winners.
