Would torghast be better if it was class neutral?

If torghast neutralized everyone’s class abilities and identity, and we all picked new powers, abilities and whatnot, would it have been more fun?

It’s kinda impossible to balance when you got something like prot pala that has lot of sustain, and on other hand like a mage.

That sounds… boring.

How would I lead my own army of Minecraft Skeletons?

You wouldn’t. Instead you’d lead an army of murder rabbits.

LOL wat??? xD

Army of these.

Ah… The Killer Bunny…

… But muh Minecraft Skeles D:

Why not both?

That sounds simply awful. May as well be carried through by a Kyrian as you hit one of three buttons like it was a bombing quest.

What you mean? You’d start with nothing, no spells, not anything, then work your way up. Could have builds like in PoE, necromancer, ranger, melee…

It’d be like an ARPG inside WoW.

i’d dig it if we could like pick a secondary class/spec to receive powers from. imagine being able to cast spells from other classes!

as necrolord pally our vanquisher’s hammer makes our wog cast light of dawn, but there’s currently a torgast power that makes vanquisher’s hammer proc divine storm. so as a holy paladin i get to cast divine storm :joy: i love it

What? No, that just sounds terrible.

So it will be the same on every alt?

I think there are some cool ones that only work on some classes but are still really fun. For example, the one that makes your Druids increase the damage of their regrowth or wrath every time they shapeshift

Torghast could be improved for me the following ways:

  • Let me level alts in there from 50
  • Drop gear equivalent to the WQ/Emissary gear that has (somewhat) unique xmogs, like Island Expeditions had
  • Drop recolors of pets, mounts, and old expansion sets, with a couple new items sprinkled in. Easy enough to do.

That’s it, really. The steps they’re taking in 9.1 to make incomplete runs have some sort of value is nice, but I still have nothing attracting me to it. The new legendary system isn’t interesting enough to me to keep me invested in the content.

I don’t think homogenization would make for good content.

I think instead they should make the anima powers stand out even more. These powers are cool but some are clearly more useful than others. Some offer interesting negative side effects to counter the boons they offer.

In my opinion they should add powers that DRASTICALLY change the way a class plays. The sky is the limit here (or at least, the 8th floor is the limit) but if they made this dungeon so t that we felt uber, they should have added brand new abilities. Or something. I feel like they are still holding back when it comes to those powers.

I mean. They could even provide powers that offer abilities that were pruned in the past, like the Saberon talent (or whatever it was) from WoD for druids, etc or Curse of Doom for Warlocks.

Not really.

Imagine you had like 200-300 anima powers, or talents, and every floor you got some random ones, maybe like had 3-5 to choose from every time, and you build up something for final boss.
