I fellow warriors, I have a warlock lvl 120 and I’m pondering the idea to create a melee class to switch up a little bit.
I had it pretty easy with lock soloing the content in BFA.
I know lock as a pet therefore it is easier to solo but I was wondering how warrior is doing in that regard especially in BFA.
What spec will you also recommend?
Thank you
Arms will be slow and easy to get into. It’s really not that fast paced of a spec.
Fury is fast paced and (apparently) fun to play. Lots of buttons to hit. Its survivability (with the right talents) is better than Arms, which has very mediocre survivability.
Once you get geared up though it won’t matter much. At 379 world content is a joke, but when leveling and during early level cap Arms will definitely feel squishy.

Bro warrior is POS. You want melee class play any melee class and it’s better, rogue hunter DK monk and DH are all better in everyway. N I mean every way there is… completely better would be accurate way to explain all melee compared to arms.

Something tells me these are classes he dies a lot cause he doesn’t play a warrior well.
In terms of melee dps for BFA so far I’ve gotta say Demon Hunters have been pretty good. Lots of mobility, great AoE and Single Target damage, decent defensives, and a CC. They have a fairly simple rotation as well.
Funny when they do their jump in the air ability and you spell reflect their bolts back at them and they die.
if i were you I would roll DH. DH is just a warrior but better in every way.
also the movement is very fun

Warriors are great fun. I have 2 at Max. One alliance and then this wee baby troll.
Arms is squishy, but has good utility and overall a higher burst combo.
Fury is consistent numbers, fast paced, and has good survivability. Also a fun by spec since you can stick to anyone.
Prot hasn’t been good in a while, but we will see how 8.2 looks.
You are incorrect in this statement. Grossly so.

Let me rephrase, I haven’t enjoyed prot since WoD, but to each their own ^.^

I mained a lock through end of legion/beginning of bfa and rolled a rogue then this warrior. So far (2 days into 120) I much prefer my rogue for everything, except that my warrior can tank.
With the possible exception of Feral Druid, all the melee classes are “good”. The question really is whether or not it fits how you want to play. Some specs are more intricate than others and require a bit more work or gear to get flowing correct. Some are fairly straightforward. IMO Arms Warrior, Fury Warrior, and Enhancement Shaman fall into the pretty straightforward category. Arms, Fury, and Enhancement only have one resource to manage, which is nice, but might seem simplistic if you’re used to having two. I guess Enhancement technically has two, but no one ever cares about the mana bar.
As others have said, Arms is a bit slow, but deals decent damage and has a couple procs to keep it interesting. It’s the most forgiving on gear. Just grab a 2H and get to choppin’. Fury and Enhancement both need reasonable amounts of haste to really feel smooth. Both are fast-paced, with Enhancement having more of a feast-or-famine approach. Fury is a bit more predictable.
Arms brings that sweet Mortal Strike debuff, which sets it apart from Fury and Enhancement. Fury has an AOE slow on command, and Enhancement is just oozing utility.
The choice of what to play is really up to you. I like to tank, so I play Prot Warrior. When I want to DPS, I use my Enhancement Shaman. I enjoy them both, for different reasons.
As far as Uldir goes, the worst melee is either enhancement or Unholy. For m+, there’s a sort of tie between frost dk, unholy dk, arms warrior, enhance, and feral.
But this has little to no impact on their output.
DH is a better class.
And also really fun with so many dashes, double jumping everywhere, and gliding…oh man, the gliding is a 11/10 class design by itself.
All their CD is really short, so you can do pretty much whatever you want and don’t have to worry about mechanic.
Pop Blur, Eye Beam while standing in fire/cleave/aoe, Blade Dance, Retreat, Dash back in.
Having mained a DH, Ive really enjoyed playing my fury warrior. Damage isnt easy to divert (like DH) and has better survivability.
I’d suggest rogue, with the amount of people crying about the stealth bug and the damage between specs, its a shoe-in for a positive change in future. Fury usually scales really well as the expac progresses and more haste is available through gear. It already performs very well and is fun and fast paced - so fury or rogue would be my suggestion
Fury has, historically, done better as an expansion progresses.
Yeah, historically like BC, Wrath, and MoP.
Thanks for confirming my point. BC, Wrath, MoP, Legion. Check arms performance when legion dropped and compare it to fury at start of expac. Then look at Fury’s performance at end of Legion. You will see fury gradually outperformed arms as gear got better.
