Would be cool if they could make any class any race

Basically the title, Itd be nice to see if they could try to create lore to make classes global or dont(because honestly a majority probably dont care and just choose what connects to them naturally) i think next xpac or the one after would give them more than enough time to fill holes in lore or create new lore to make it make sense and everyone on both sides(lore divers and casuals who dont care about lore) happy. Ive wanted a dwarf demon hunter for awhile and i think an expansion that represents a clash of other xpacs like wotlk, legion, mop and etc possibly havents some multi dimension enemy similar to WoD that has players go back to defeat the guy but doing so in a way that keeps the overall story integrity together, or maybe just not do that at all and start bringing in the stuff everyone wants like velf dh(i wanted to play dwarf dh) theres already grounds to make undead paladins with one of the original paladins/priests who trained alot the original paladins being currently undead himself. So the whole “undead couldnt ever withstand the light” argument is nonsense and they are already in constant pain as it is lol

Monk as Forsaken is much more lore breaking than a paladin as one.

Ya, theres alot of people that foam out the mouth in anger if you even suggest it tho which is hilarious to me cause you’d think they would have some understanding of ingame lore

Imo I don’t think they need to make for example lore for a dwarf demon hunter group. Honestly why can’t our own character just have been X race who decided to infuse themselves w demonic energy.

I found it honestly weird that people were mad about stuff like Draenei Warlocks or Night Elf Mage. Can’t you just train to be X class? The races are not a hivemind. Everyone has their own individual goals/backstory, and in D&D you can make up your own backstory.

Virtually every class can have some kind of new lore written to explain new race options. It’s really not that hard. Blizzard are just lazy and don’t want to dedicate a designer and modeler to spend a week making the in-game assets. Even Evoker, a class that’s supposedly only possible by being a Dragonkin, could have new lore written that the Dracthyr found a means to teach non-Dragonkin how to mimic the powers of Evokers via magic. Mages can already mimic a dragon’s fire breath.

If eathens can be taught to be paladins right off the bat their is no excuse for it to be locked to certain races.

All races can be priests so that opens another opertinity for races to be paladins.

Only 2 out of all the races won’t be able to qualify (void elves and undead).

Horde only has 3 races that can be paladins vs the 6 Alliance has.

Druid has a opening with the Green Dragonflight only 2 races (gnome and goblin) won’t be able to be druids.

When I saw Alleria unable to physically touch Turalyon without an explosion occurring, I think that was the nail in the coffin on ever getting everything playable as any race.

Im curious tho, why cant velfs and the undead be priests but not paladins since all the original paladins were priests beforehand

We’re starting to head that way.

Even in the few years I’ve played this game I’ve seen Monk be available to Lightforged Draenei, Warlocks available to Night Elves and other combinations I didn’t think I’d see.

I’d say give it a decade by then we’ll have most classes for most races probably Evoker/DH excepted.

Human Shamans with small castle like totems.

Also Tanks Shamans please.

Unlock more options, but still keep ridiculous things at bay, like Forsaken Monk and Voidelf Paladin.

I personally want Elf Shamans and Human Druids.

No, it wouldn’t be cool. It would be bland and generic. I’m not fond of most of the class and race combinations they’ve loosened already.

why tho lol

Game was better when it was an RPG. The more they break the lore and open it up, the stupider this game gets.

So you believe its better when the lore has alot of closed caskets on things that would open more accessibility and immersion to people who may stick with a certain class or a certain race more often than not?

it also would detract it from being a roleplaying game? if anything i think the opposite and i would have my Trp3 setup to make my characters story and how he came about to be the class he is. This is also what i do with my other characters like my Dark iron dwarf deathknight, infused by ragnaros and serving under the lichking. It opens more room for rp and more variety in storylines

i also have a trp3 for the dark iron dwarf warlock where he lost his parents from a battle cause the dark irons found out of the forbidden union between a bronzebeard and dark iron warlock who was of shadowforge’s elite. Something that NEVER happens in any point in wow because its despised but not impossible theoretically

It’s hard because I agree with you but I also agree with the purists.

We just need more, better, visually appealing races. Like why Kyrian isn’t playable yet boggles my mind, same with Vrykul at this point, just make them playable. Make them all neutral, who gives a fart.

Yea im kinda on both sides lol id love if they could make it possible but not just stamp it in there, im even open to your idea with some combinations being offlimits

No it really wouldn’t it would destroy lore, as well as it wouldn’t be WoW anymore.
