I was thinking of doing an amateur tv show (more like a web animation show) that combines the 3 main types of animation (CGI, Hand-drawn, and Stop motion) and makes it hard to determine which one it really is. I thought of doing that after seeing some movies (like the Miles Morales spider man movies) that combine Hand-drawn with CGI and seeing some clips of the now cancelled Dreamworks movie, Me and My Shadow, which also combined Hand-drawn animation and CGI but they are separate from each other in the animatics and that they were more side by side to each other.
Since there was a debate about which form of animation is superior, and since I appreciate all forms of animation, I thought of combining all three to see how they can complement each other. But I do know that can be expensive and stop motion is pretty costly compared to the 2 other ones.
Here are some clips from Me and My Shadow and how it uses a wonderful combination of animation. Too bad it was cancelled mid-production.
