Would a dwarf priest be a dark iron?

what last name would a dark iron dwarf have? i just changed my dwarf to have the dark iron skin so.

Spriest is more closely associated with the Dark Iron clan, but I’ve yet to hear of a Wildhammer priest. There are Bronzebeard priests tho, including spriests.

Lorewise though, you can be any clan. There’s not really any restrictions based on heritage. Also, didn’t you already ask the question of last names in a prior thread?

Yeah, the Dark Iron Queen during the Dwarven civil war was officially called a sorceress I think, but she utilized some sort of shadow magic when they attacked Grim Batol. She even used Xal’atath until it/she abandoned her.

The Dark Irons are known for their sorcery among the three clans. Original dwarves actually couldn’t be mages and warlocks until the Dark Irons joined them in Catacylsm. So a shadow priest fits with Dark Irons well. Bronzebeards have had priests forever too as the Holy Light is their main religion.

But you can make a Bronzebeard or Wildhammer shadow priest just fine! All three sides have great warriors and casters. There’s no general rule with who can be what.

Out of the two, a Dwarven shadowpriest would be a Bronzebeard.

Dwarf surnames are usually made of up of two words. Probably try to keep it related to the elements or things in dwarf culture. Examples like:

Flamebellow
Steelforge
Stonebeard
Blackstout
Furystrike
Silverhammer
Slateborn
Emberfist

That’s the idea. Any combination of dwarfish words will do the trick.

Queen Mogdud, wife of Sorcerer-Thane Thaurissan, of the Dark Iron Clan was probably the most prominent wielder of Xal’atath. More recently, Shadowlord Slaghammer (who may be the same Slaghammer from the Dun Morogh Cata quests, or at least related to him) is an agent of Moira posing as a member of the Twilight’s Hammer, who assists the High Priest of the Conclave in recovering Xal’atath from Farthing in Legion.
