I think you might need to go back to school.
Hmmm, no, I was successful in school already.
Prove it then
I already did… a few times in this conversation alone.
Dailies, professions, pvp, level alts, farm gold, extream solo, old content raids/dungeons for rare items, collect achievements, gather consumables for doing content, twink, finish all quests, explore all zones, the list goes on.
Again, retail mentality is seeing level to end game and raiding as the only “content” to do.
But did you though, I’m here questioning your intelligence after every post you make. Plus the entire post about you proving what I’ve said was completely lost on you.
It’s kind of sad really. Surprised it went over your head.
You can question me all you’d like - be that my intelligence, experience, education, etc. I really don’t care. It’s proven you’re dense, and that’s enough for me.
I think if anyone here is dense, its you chief.
Have fun in school, goodnight
The fact that you had to edit - and still use it incorrectly - “its” kinda proves my point.
I’m typing on a phone while playing a video game, sorry forum warrior. You lack my full attention.
Nice excuse.
Have a nice night, kiddo.
Super salty about being embarrassed in a online arguement, it’s okay. Go take a class for it on YouTube like you did for law.
Night night boo
First, you haven’t embarrassed me.
Secondly, it’s “argument.”
So salty, taking any win you can get.
I typo’d that on purpose just for you.
Thanks for taking the bait.
The thing is, though, this entire list is based on personal preference.
- Dailies - this is mostly for gold, and many players don’t need it
- Professions - these could already be maxed - many players maxed them out pretty quickly
- PvP - this doesn’t interest MANY players, so why would someone PvP if they don’t like it?
- Farm Gold - See “Dailies”
- Extream Solo - I don’t know what you mean here…
- Old Content - It’s less appealing for many players to run old content since you’re gonna be doing it alone, and can’t even power-level friends
- Achievements - Some people like doing them; others not so much (I’m in this camp)
- Gathering consumables - With a few heroics/dungeons, you can be set for a while
- Twink - Again, many people don’t like the idea of PvP
- Finish all quests - I, for one, hated questing. In fact, I barely quested at all from 70-80
- Explore all zones - Ehhh
That might be a player’s preference. It’s not based on the “retail mentality.” I’d even argue that Retail has more to offer outside of raiding than Wrath Classic does.
Have a nice night.
Playing games is based on personal preference.
If you only enjoy a very small percentage of what wotlkc is, you may want to find a different game.
You mean the card swiping champions?
Its not just about maxxing it, some people like to try to have every possible recipe.
Good point why play a game if you dont like most aspects of it… oh wait, doesnt that mean you should find a different game to play?
See dailies
Pushing your class and or spec to the limit, example as a hunter finding ways to solo old world bosses or raid bosses.
Never said you would be doing it alone or had to.
I regularly use my druid to help a friend try to get raven lord, we have even set up ashes of alar runs just to try for that 310% speed mount.
Not everyone is a tank or healer, nor do those bags always drop the consumes you actually want. Im not refering to just potions btw. Food buffs, gems, enchants, exc are consumed on use.
See pvp
Again if you dont like most aspects of the game…
Again, if you dont like most aspects of the game…
Of course retail has more to do, if you want more to do you can go play retail, of course if you dont like 95% of what wotlkc is, you probably wont like retail either as you dont seem to enjoy the very core of what an mmorpg is, so maybe find a different game to play? There are thosands of them out there.
You don’t need to be a “card swiping champion” to not need gold from dailies.
Unless you’re excruciatingly bad with money what do you realistically need gold for? No more skills to learn at 80, you probably already have fast flying by this point, mammoth with vendors would be one thing to throw money at if you like having a vendor wherever you go, but even then, don’t need a credit card for that.
And then what?
Trashy Karen is trashy.
Toxic classic community is toxic. Go struggle with the easy content.
Precisely. So, why are you trying to dictate who should and should not play certain games?
As of now, you don’t need to purchase gold to sustain yourself in Wrath Classic. I have my flying, abilities up to date, dual-specialization, gems, enchants, consumables, glyphs, and enough to fund my repair bills. What do I need with a plethora of gold-making opportunities?
And this would be a “completionist.” Most recipes from Vanilla/TBC are irrelevant now, simply because there are better alternatives in Wrath.
So… because I don’t like certain aspects of a game, that means that I should stop playing?
Again… see dailies.
Or… in other words, min-maxing your character. Today, people aren’t learning their class on their own - they watch a YouTube video, or read a guide written by someone else who has experience doing whatever they’re looking to do.
Again, this is personal preference. I, personally, couldn’t care less about mounts - hence why I’m not salivating at the mouth over the mount you get for the 12-month subscription. Each ground mount does the same thing, and each flying mount does the same thing. It’s effectively cosmetic - they all do the same thing (ground and flying respectively) but just at different speeds.
One of the appeals that drew me into old-world content in original Wrath was the ability for me to push my character to their limits in dungeons, make some gold, but most importantly, I was able to help other players. I didn’t charge people; it was free. However, Blizzard has taken that out back and done with it the way of Old Yeller. So, why would I go and do something I no longer enjoy? Oh, right, I shouldn’t play a game that contains things I don’t like!
You’re right, and why is that? It’s because they don’t like to tank or heal. Should they stop playing too?
This is also correct - however, if I were to receive a caster flask instead of a tanking one, I wouldn’t keep it, I’d give it to the guild, raid team, party members, etc. Additionally, because of the boxes/bags giving flasks, elixirs, food, etc., most of these things have gone down in value… and drastically.
- Food buffs last an hour - You use far less than a stack per week for raids.
- Why are you worried about gathering gems and enchants? How often are you replacing your gear?
Not everyone enjoys PvP - I know people that haven’t touched it yet, because it doesn’t interest them in the slightest. So, you’re saying those people should quit WoW because they only participate in PvE content?
I don’t think all that many people actually like questing - especially when we’ve done it plenty of times before already.
“Exploring all zones” isn’t an aspect of WoW - the only reason people do it now is to obtain the achievement(s). Before achievements, there was no reason to, since there were addons that revealed your map(s) for you.
…what? If retail has more to do, then players with that mentality would be completing essentially everything in Wrath because they’re used to more content to do and they’d effectively run out of things to do in Wrath.
99% of what we have in Wrath IS in Retail.
What’s the actual definition of an MMORPG?
an online role-playing video game in which a very large number of people participate simultaneously
This does not list as criteria that I have to enjoy EVERY or even the MAJORITY of aspects of a game to enjoy it. In fact, this doesn’t mean I even have to group up with people for this definition to apply. Realistically, we could go the rest of time without grouping up in the game, and it would still be classified as an MMORPG.
How is someone expressing their opinion trashy?
