WotLK vs TBC vs Vanilla

I loved vanilla wow for the first 40 level but was unplayable due to hour long queues and I want to give classic wow another chance. I am mostly interested in Vanilla ( bc of warrior) and WotLK ( bc of unholy dk). TBC would be a total new experience and I don’t really have an opinion on it. So my question is which versions of the three do you think would have a better longevity in terms of player population

In my realm on TBCC there’s 20-30k items in the AH which suggests a reasonable population/economy although not necessarily a ‘decent’ 40-70 experience unless you are in a guild. In my realm on Classic (Era), there’s 1/10th as many items in the AH and the realms are connected. I believe, when TBCC came out, that much of playerbase migrated from Classic (Era) and didn’t pay to clone their toons to remain in Classic (Era). When Wrath comes out, I anticipate the same thing will happen to TBCC and those TBCC realms will go the way that the Classic (Era) ones did.

EDIT: Have since heard that all the TBCC realms will become WotLK realms and there will be no cloning. They may make some SOM realms for TBCC but that’s about it.
