WOTLK Timewalking scaling issues

I ran it about 30 minutes ago and it was still doing it. Also, the boss was not spawned when we got to it but it was in fact there just no one in the group could see it.

Yup, I had two groups accusing me of not healing on my shaman. I was pre-healing mechanics and still couldn’t keep up. We managed to get through all the dungeons, but I had to argue with the groups to get them to take it slow and watch mechanics.

Can absolutely confirm that Nexus is broken. So broken it’s not even funny that my pets were getting one shot and so was I. We need a hot fix like now.

Bummed out there hasn’t been a fix all day. Was looking forward to getting my mage and warlock from 60 to 70 before I’d get busy starting tomorrow. :slightly_frowning_face:

Im so confused are these heroic timewalking? I did some of these ‘overtuned’ on normal and they were fine.

I believe all time walking dungeons are technically the “Heroic” versions, as for Burning crusade time walking, some of the old recolors of vanilla armor sets ONLY drop in the heroic versions, and ive looted several of them last TM.

Just finished HoL, seems to be fine now.

Returning to say that yesterday’s hotfix seems to have remedied the most egregious problems in Nexus and Halls of Lightning. Now if there was only a hotfix for over-ambitious tanks… :crazy_face:

Thorns and DOTs are the issue.

We were smashing until nexus treants. After stopping to look, tank kited them and hunter/mage smoked em easy.

Halls of reflection? I think. The one with the floating head with the faces. Poisons were 1-shotting people and when the boss put the mirror up he 1-shot the group.

TLDR: The tuning issue seems to be mechanics outside of normal hit/defense.

But i do hope the fix it. Ill be hitting ulduar tomorrow.

I know this isn’t an option for everyone, or for those trying to use the Time Walking dungeons to level, but I’ve run TW Ulduar on a few toons and it’s pretty easy. The only issues we had were on Flame Leviathan, as the motorcycle’s oil patches were one-shotting people, but once we stopped using those, everything else was pretty much a faceroll. The bosses in there count towards the weekly quest, the gear is champion track, and you can get it done, with a decent group, in about as much time as it would take to run 5 dungeons, give or take, and – bonus – you get to avoid all the “fun” scaling issues in the dungeons!
