I am brand-spankin’ new to Shaman and looking for some guidance. What is the best solo questing spec (1h/sheild + DW + 2h) for leveling 1-80? I will be using heirlooms including heirloom weapons.
i.e. 1-30 Shield/1h
30-50 2h
50-80 DW 1h
Most will tell you enh, especially with heirlooms. And by all means it is a really good efficient spec.
My only issue is once you get around lvl 30-35 ele becomes very strong aoe and just gets stronger from there out. Fire nova and chain lightning glyphs with fire totem talents . Couple that with earthgrab talents and thunderstorm and you can really aoe grind drastically decreasing level time where as enh is still taking on 1-3 mobs.
I’m also ele biased so take that into consideration
With that being said are you rocking the WG Caster 1h mace or 2h heirloom staff while leveling? I have the cloth heirloom set so if I go ele that seems the best option to save time on farming badges for mail int heirloom set. I would think the 1h mace + AH shield is BiS
Yes 1h+shield is BIS but caster staff with cloth heirlooms will work as well.
Any enchant is just gravy
I’m also guessing +30 spell power enchant on the weapon of choice?

Once you get a mount it gets easy.
Mount up
Gather mobs
Drop stoneclaw +magma
Cast chain lightning into fire nova
Spam heal + magma if needed
If you get overwhelmed drop earthbind step away and heal.
As said earlier, once you get earthgrab talent and thunderstorm then you can really grind and create space.
Just be aware that magma totem generates threat and will get stomped after stoneclaw dies. The talent that cause stoneclaw to stun really helps.

Rinse and repeat
It can get chaotic in the beginning but once you learn the sequence it gets really easy and efficient.
