WOTLK Raids Difficulty Auto Switching

As the title implies, I've tried to do 25 man Ulduar and 25 man Heroic ICC the past two days and it just keeps putting me in 10man instead. I set the difficulty to 25 man, heroic, and it will only put me in 10man. Really irritating especially since I just spent the last two hours doing blood infusion only to not get progress for the quest because once again the dungeon automatically switched to 10man when I entered.
Ulduar adopted the flex model last expansion for...reasons. 10 and 25 versions were merged into one. It was not implemented with an attention to detail.

If you enter a raid like Ulduar or SoO with your client set for 25-man raids, the server-side flag on your account is changed to drop you in 10-man raids. If you then go to enter a raid with a 25-man mode, even though your client says it's correctly set on 25-man, the server has you flagged for 10-man. You have to manually change it to 10, and back to 25 right before you enter the raid to be sure.
This is one of the most annoying "new" features introduced. Don't tell me at what difficulty I want to run Legacy raids! What if I'm running for specific difficulty-related achievements or for transmogs for that rare piece that only drops on 25H? Note that this feature isn't restricted to just SoO and Ulduar; somehow it's taint has spread to some other raids as well. It's almost hit and miss, and the affected raids seem to pose this problem sporadically. It takes a sharp eye and several minutes of exiting, changing, and re-entering to attempt to fix it, even if I already had the difficulty set to my choice. Please remove this feature, as it seems perpetually bugged and doesn't seem to work as intended. This feature also gets confused if you're already saved to an instance and other players join your raid group/party. Upon converting a party to a raid, I've seen this switch the difficulty based on number of players even if I was already saved to a higher difficulty! Now how's that make sense? That's rhetorical, it doesn't. Please either fix or remove this "feature."

Okay, I'm not sure I understand you a 100%. If I want to do 25 man how do I get it to set to 25 man since setting my raid difficulty to 25 doesn't work? Just keep switching to 25 man mode and re-entering until it gives me 25 man?

Ulduar only has 1 difficulty now and scales based on party size like a current raid does. There is no switching for it, nor is there a need to, as the old 10 and 25man loot tables were merged together.

What they're describing in their 2nd paragraph is that sometimes the client's UI may not reflect the server-side settings, ie your UI says you have it set to 25 but the server thinks it's set to 10. The solution (as they said in their post) is to change the setting on your end back and forth so that the server will resync with your setting.
I cant get general vezax to drop loot that comes from 10 man. What am I doing wrong?
