HC is absolutely social. They’re all doing the HC challenge together. Anyone who thinks otherwise needs to log on and have a look. So many nice players, buffing eachother, conversing in guild or general chat, laughing at all the faction deaths that pop up, talking in discord, meeting up to do a dungeon.
People hating because it’s been successful. Can’t wait for official HC.

I see no indication in that tag indicating that we must socialize or how we must socialize.
This is a lame excuse for removing a feature that was in the original game.

I tried that in the beginning.
I couldn’t even get a group for RFC or Wailing Caverns by spamming chat.
And going /who 12-18 and messaging people who aren’t in the group finder obviously means they don’t want to do the dungeons.
Would you like to be messaged 50 times to do RFD when you don’t want to?
I got messaged 5 times last night when I was on my druid because they wanted a tank.
It was annoying, because they didn’t want me because I wanted to do the dungeon, they wanted me because they needed a tank and I was a druid (I’m cat Feral for questing~)
When I started playing and was looking for dungeons the only people to message me were bored 70’s and people who wanted to charge me, a fresh player, 10 gold to do RFC and WC.
Spamming LFG chat to find dungeons doesn’t work on Remulos.
I’m now at 8 days trying to do Drak’Tharon Keep and nothing.
And most of the RDF threads were in here.
I just didn’t pay much attention when I made the thread cause I was so miffed at how badly the community treats casual players.
There seems to be a lot of off topic threads in this forum but I did make this post almost a year ago now.
So there’s no point in pointing out it’s in the wrong place because no one of actual importance or position of moderating power actually reads these forums.

Your personal feelings don’t mean a thing when it comes to reality. You don’t have to think it’s social, but you would be factually incorrect, see definition above.

Not true, many people are open to it and just never bother listing. I’ve done it to get my low level dungeons and I don’t have to message 20 people to get a yes. 1-3 tries for a tank or healer does it, and most dps in my experience jump right on board. Most levelers (especially on big servers) are not staring at the lfg chat cesspool 24/7 and just don’t see your message, but plenty are happy to join if asked directly.
Getting a message here and there from people in a social game is not a big deal. If you don’t want to do the dungeon just ignore them and get on with your questing, it doesn’t disrupt your experience in the slightest.
Well sorry for being on a lower population server.
But on Oceanic we don’t have the luxury.
There aren’t enough tanks and healers to go around and lower level people don’t want to do dungeons.
But obviously my complaints are falling on deaf ears because everyone just assumes that across all servers the situations are exactly the same and it’s our fault for not socializing properly that we can’t get things done.

I dinged 80 yesterday.
I haven’t been able to do a single group quest other than the easy to solo ones and there were 28 people at max level in Icecrown that completely ignored all my attempts at recruiting in LFG chat and General/Local Defense.
As for messaging randoms.
Like I said earlier in the thread, you don’t walk down the road and greet everyone who walks past you.
That’s just plain obnoxious.

One of the reasons I was advocating for RDF though I’m not sure if getting thrown into a dungeon with NA players is a satisfactory solution as many may have latency concerns. Would there be enough population if all OCE realms were joined via RDF?
I still support the inclusion of the tool. Blizzard doesn’t want people overcrowding the servers but we still have mega-realms with people still trying to pack in. One of the reasons for that is the players are worried they won’t be able to get groups for dungeons if they remain on low-pop servers that continue to shrink and lose players.
Reconsider your removal of RDF, Blizz.

You can get all the facts you want from google but the def. of being social is very big. WoW was famous for being a game that had social interactions in a pleasant way.
