Here is a 2v2 tierlist for all of you Wrath Classic enthusiasts. As a note, not every single possible comp will be included. Instead we selected the top comps for every spec and then organized them into tiers.
S Tier = Incredibly consistent, very few difficult matchups, the best of the best
A Tier = Still really good, more difficult matchups, highly competitive
B Tier = Good, but significantly more weaknesses, still competitive, might rely on gimmicks
C Tier = Inconsistent, lots of weaknesses generally not recommended for serious arena, super gimmicky but might be fun to play casually
This list is bad, the guy voicing this also sounds way too excited to be spreading Fake News.
S Tier 2s will be Ret/MM, Spriest/Rogue and Ele/Destro.
Arms/Hpala will get destroyed early on until they get full BiS which most won’t because this isn’t a private server.
I’m sure people will run Arms/Hpala anyways because of TrashCapped videos like this but they’ll just be customers later on buying boosts because they can’t crack 1400.

Based on this video alone it looks like all they did was stare at Warmane leaderboard for 5 minutes and decide to clickbait it to generate views before Arena season launch.
Look up Earpugs and Apex Analysis, small time creators who are actual WoTLK Glads that actually break down classes and comps.
I don’t think anyone really knows what will be best until the top players invest a significant amount of time into wotlk fleshing out the meta. Don’t really trust warmane players or “wotlk glads” to actually figure out what is best. Guess time will tell tho.
Arms/Hpala is good but the reason why it’s overrepresented in every tier list is because of Shadowmourne and 100% ArP.
When both are not in the phase where they can get BiS, they get easily rolled by semi competent players.
Not to say Arms/HPala isn’t a bad comp but it’s not S tier early on and it’s not the ONLY S tier comp as the video says either because I can think of 5 - 6 other 2s comp that will destroy it S5/S6.
SPriest/Rogue for example would counter it hard, MM/Ret would also counter it not to mention something like Ele/Destro as well.
HPala gear isn’t enough to keep Warrior going when Warrior doesn’t have gear to keep the DPS output the same as other specs early phases.
This is definitely the hardest matchup for warr palla. Priest feral is pretty hard as well if the feral is really really good. But these matchups are not auto loss “gg we lose go next” they are still winnable especially if the war hpal team goes all in 1200 resil gear. In between trinket bubble bop shield wall 2 sacs ,parry enraged regen, they have a lot of cds to go through before they can win.
Not really counter but these matchups are map dependent. Ele destro on blades edge would be very difficult but on nagrand would be free win.
Strange, I could have sworn people complained to the heavens that Blood Death Knights were overpowered in Wrath of the Lich King. Or is that a different patch?
